Book three in the Rowan Summerwaite series, BLADE ON THE HUNT, releases in digital formats November 17! I love this one – love that Venice is in the background. Love that it’s nighttime. Just gorgeous!

Book three in the Rowan Summerwaite novels takes Rowan into Europe as she hunts her newest adversary…. (No final blurb yet, but hopefully soon!)

The Rowan books follow one character/couple  – I find I love being able to write a character’s evolution over time and I am having so much fun writing Rowan and Clive’s slowly building romance (this is the bloodiest AND most romantic of the series so far too!).  I wouldn’t want to do it all the time, but it’s fun to come back once a year to Rowan and her cast of characters!

Do you all like a series that follows a single character/cast of characters over time? Any favorites to share? A series I love and recommend often is Eileen Wilks’ Lupi books. I love Lily and Rule together and have really had fun getting to know them. Same with the In Death books from JD Robb and Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter books.

Today’s contest is for a copy of LUSH – the winner, chosen from the replies to this post, will be announced in the Friday Winners Post!  Good luck!

I like a series about one main character sometimes but don’t want it to get boring. As long as the stories hold up, its good. Series themselves run the risk of becoming formulaic and the story arc can plateau. Christine Feehan’s Carpathians was in danger of this but the latest trilogy of books has finally moved the story along. I agree with you about the In Death series, Dallas & Roarke are great and have a superb cast of characters surrounding them. I read the first couple of Nalini’s Guild Hunters but much prefer the Psy-Changelings. I also really enjoy Victoria Laurie’s Abby Cooper & Ghoul Hunters, and so far they haven’t got boring at all. I think at the end of the day, the story will out. Good writing wins every time.

I love series that follow a certain cast of characters. Current favorites are the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews and the Miss Fortune series by Jana Deleon.

    1. LOVE LUSH! What a great way to end Delicious and introduce the Hurley’s 🙂

    2. I like a cast of characters that are written in a series of either friends or family: in your case both in Browns/Delicious; L. Howard with the Mackenzies; L. Kleypas with the Hathaways; JR Ward with the Black Dagger Brotherhood; etc. So I guess I’ll need to check out your Blade series.

    3. Excited with only 13 days till Paddy’s story and I’m hoping for snippets of Damien and Mary!

I love the In Death series by JD Robb, as well. I am currently enjoying Aussie author Kylie Scott’s Stage Dive series. Some other faves of mine are the Assassin/Shifter series by Sandine Gasq-Dion, any and all of LD’s books (most especially the Brown siblings), and EL James’ Fifty Shades trilogy.
