This coming week I’ll be in San Antonio for the RWA National Conference at the Marriott Rivercenter. On Wednesday, July 23 I’ll be one of several hundred authors who’ll be signing in the massive Literacy book signing that is free and open to the public! We’ve been recently notified that readers won’t be allowed to bring their own books inside to be signed. I’m so sorry about that, but I’ll have bookplates with me and I’m happy to sign those for the books you already have!
At the “Readers for Life” Literacy Autographing, hundreds of romance authors meet with and sign books for fans, with the proceeds from book sales going to literacy organizations. Since 1990, RWA has raised more than $825,000 to fight illiteracy.
The 2014 “Readers for Life” Literacy Autographing will be on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter Hotel in the 3rd floor ballroom.
This year, proceeds from the Literacy Autographing will benefit ProLiteracy Worldwide, Literacy Texas, Restore Education, and Each One Teach One San Antonio.

In the mean time, I’ll still be giving stuff away and posting excerpts, etc!
Seen any good movies or television lately? We caught Snowpiercer last week On Demand and loved it! Tried out a new show and gave up after about 40 minutes. Today’s prize is a Chipotle GC (don’t judge, I love Chipotle!) and a copy of INSIDE OUT – Brown Family #3 – Cope and Ella’s book. I haven’t seen any new movies been watching some faves like The Professional, Payback, The Mummy…as for television I’m loving Beauty and the Beast right now. I’m looking forward to the new seasons of Sleepy Hollow, Once Upon A Time, Chicago Fire and PD, The Blacklist…

I saw Man of Steel which I know has been out for a while but I am a little behind. I really enjoyed it.

I am way behind on movies. The last one I saw in the theater was Captain America: The Winter Soldier and I thought it was better than the first Captain America movie. We also recently watched Idris Elba’s Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, which was good, but seemed a bit rushed or superficial. I think it was just too much material for a movie. As for TV, we loved Fargo on FX and are diving in to the second season of Orphan Black.

Haven’t seen any movies lately but just saw the first episode of a new TV show called Necessary Roughness and really enjoyed it. Light entertainment – always good. I’m a bit behind but have just caught the first season of Death in Paradise and loved it, mostly because of Ben Miller – he’s the Bomb!
