I’m giving this away in digital format because this awesome book is no longer in print.
Here’s the blurb: Erin Thatcher figures there’s no reason she can’t have a hot fling with the wrong kind of guy while she waits for Mr. Right to come along. So when she spies a magazine article about Men To Do before saying “I do,” her imagination goes wild! Her sexy but reclusive neighbor is part of her fantasies every night, and now it’s time to see what Sebastian is like for real….
Sebastian Gallo is a man obsessed. A bestselling author, he uses a pseudonym to ensure his privacy, never letting the real world in. But somehow Erin has consumed his thoughts—in his bed, in his shower—to the point where his writing is suffering. He just can’t ignore the heat that exists between them whenever they meet…but can he risk revealing his true self?
A few words. Well okay two – SHOWER SCENE.
I love the entire Men To Do series from Blaze even years after I first read the books (some of romance’s best category writers in that series – check it out). But this particular book has a dark, broody hero with lots of secrets and a great, smart, independent heroine who knows what she likes and isn’t afraid of it. Sometimes that’s rare, and it really was back when I first read this book.
Alison Kent is a master class in how to write a category romance. It’s far more difficult than a lot of people think to write a great story in within the limited word count – especially a fleshed out story between two really complicated characters. But Kent does it over and over and The Sweetest Taboo is a perfect example of this. (though to be fair, I love her single title stuff as well). Moreover, she’s one of the authors who took erotic romance mainstream before traditional publishing began to have ER lines of their own. The sex in this book works perfectly for these characters (again, harder than people might think). She’s really an author I return to over and over and I learn something new each time I read her stuff.
You know you want it! I’ll choose a winner from the comments to this post and announce it next Monday in the Winners Post. Good luck!

This and book one are on my keeper shelf in print, as you know (I have it in e already, no need to enter me). I adore both Alison’s categories and her single titles.
And I sooo want Sebastian’s shower (who am I to argue if he’s in it?)

This sounds great! It’s hard to find category romances with a fleshed-out story because of the short length. Thanks for the recommendatio!

I find it amazing that every time I read something by an author I end up finding about someone I haven’t read and end up reading everything they’ve ever written. I appears Allison Kent is going to fit into this category. I’d love read this.
