It’s Question Sunday!

So ask em in the comments if you’ve got em and I’ll do my best to answer!

Christine asks: When the new series begins w/ Gillian’s friends are we still going to get to see glimpses of the Browns every now and then?

Yes! The new series will be focused on Gillian’s friends (who you’ll meet in NEVER ENOUGH) but since Gillian is with Adrian you’ll be seeing the Browns in the other books as well. And I’m not going to spoil it too much but you haven’t seen the last rock star from me either…

Jackie asks: I can’t wait for Once and Again but since it comes out in Kindle format first any idea when the print version will come out.

Samhain usually goes about 10 -12 months between digital and print releases. Once and Again is right at category length so it might be too short to go to print on its own. However, I do plan to write Beth’s story next so if it’s too short on its own, it can be combined with another book to do a print combo that way. So don’t expect to see anything in print until this time next year or later – but it will be out πŸ™‚

Oriela asks: When Can we expect the next book in the De La Vega series?

Gibson’s book will be next. I have to finish this book and the next, but after that I’ll finish my proposal for the book and get it to my editor. I’m hoping next year some time you’ll see it out.

Carrie says: I remember reading in your blog about a book either called or in a series called TART. I also have written down that it is somehow related to the Brown spin-off. I also have written down that Sway was part of the same spin-off idea.

I have a feeling I am completely loosing it but if you could help me out with my fuzzy brain that would be great!

TART is the first book in a new contemporary erotic romance series that’s a spin off from NEVER ENOUGH – the heroine in TART – Jules – is Gillian’s best friend so you’ll meet her in NEVER ENOUGH. That comes out in November of ’12

SWAY is a short novel featuring another one of Gillian’s friends – Daisy- and it’ll be out in June of next year in the duology, CHERISHED that I’m doing with Maya Banks.

AND – this week I was asked to write a novella set in the same world that’ll be digital only from Berkley.

So – the long story is Tart is the first standalone, single title full length book that will start the new series (still trying to get the series title right) but Sway is connected as is the novella (which should be out in late summer/early fall ’12)

Does that answer the question?

Stacie asks: I have to congratulate you again on your beautiful new website. With so many new bells and whistles, which is your favorite?

Thank you, Stacie. I LOVE this website. I had a pretty big list of things I wanted the site to be but it was all just concepts to me. Croco Designs took that crazy list and completely realized it AND made a big complicated design create a simple website with a huge amount of data. I’m in awe of the job she did.

My favorite thing is that if I change a graphic, upload a cover for instance, I used to have to change it on several different pages of the site, Even with the relative ease of wordpress, it took a while and it was easy to forget a page. But now all I need to do is upload it to one place and it automatically updates site wide. It is AWESOME, LOL. Such a huge time saver and I don’t forget anything.

Karen says: I did send an email to you on Monday regarding Carina Press and you never answered. I did say i wasn’t happy with the format πŸ™

I’m not sure what response you needed – the way I read it you didn’t like the pagination of the format and wrote to the publisher about it. I don’t have any (as in absolutely zero) influence on the formats they carry and how they’re formatted so when you said you’d written to Carina, I figured you had sent me a note as an FYI. They’re the best people to contact with those concerns πŸ™‚

MsBookjunkie asked: Is Goddess With A Blade a lonely only or the first in a series?

I love this world and I would very much like to take Rowan to The Keep and explore that side of her story. It’s all a matter of how well the book does and then my schedule to make the time to write it, etc.

Rachel asks: I was just wondering if there is a topic or storyline that you are dying to do, but haven’t found a way to do it the way that fits your style?

I’ve got several ideas I’ve wanted to write for a while but it’s often more a case of me having an idea but no time to write it than anything else. Over time it’s more like I know my strengths and also my weaknesses. I love historicals with a passion but I don’t have the voice for it – but if I could ever happen on an idea and the time to do it!
