It appears the deluge has ended for the time being. We had so much rain yesterday it was stunning. Luckily we live on top of a hill (1500 feet elevation) so flooding isn’t so scary for us, though it’s a huge risk this year.
Today we’re off to the pumpkin patch. In general, I’m sort of iffy on this, but husband and kids all amped up. Which means mud will be everywhere by the time we’re done. There used to be a time when I didn’t think so much like a mother, LOL, but now I think, “oh well that’ll be fun for five minutes until someone gets really muddy and then it will devolve into tears and being cold and guess who will have to clean it up?” I know, I am a joy killer. In any case, we’re getting the carpet replaced on the first floor of the house with laminate anyway so I suppose eight more stains on the carpet won’t really do any harm – and I do love carving pumpkins so hopefully due to the mud and cold, people will be staying home so the patch won’t be insanely busy and we can get in and then get out. (Ha, what does murphy’s law say about this?)
I’m working on the proposal for Hunted – the follow up book to Trinity. Just FYI – the romantic storyline does get an HEA at the end of Trinity, but there’s a two book story arc here, so there are loose ends with that that I promise, yes, will be tied up by the end of the second book. Kendra, Renee’s sister, plays a really big part in that so it needed two books to resolve.
I hope everyone has a great Sunday! I’m of to the pumpkin patch!

hope you had fun at the pumpkin patch; we had a sunny though cold day here, but no pumpkin in sight.

The rain was incredible here. An area near me here on South Whidbey had landslides and flooding, with water a foot deep in places. And we have trees here that fall over even on a beautiful summer day with no breeze. On a rainy day, well… 🙄 Hope you had fun in the pumpkin patch! Even with the mud. 🙂

I think we’re hitting the pumpkin patch next weekend when my MIL is here. I figure 3 adults to one two year old is about the right ratio. 😉
