Today’s books are: Emma Holly’s All U Can Eat and Sarah Dale’s A Little Night Music!
ALL U CAN EAT
When the body of a wealthy woman is discovered in an alley near Frankie Smith’s diner, Frankie realizes she’s one of Chief Jack West’s prime suspects. The truth is, Jack’s attraction to the sexy proprietor of All U Can Eat is all-consuming-though he knows hauling her into custody isn’t going to improve his chances with her.
What neither of them realizes is that the town of Six Palms is full of secrets that would shock even the raciest residents. Determined to clear her name-and to get to know the police chief better-Frankie joins Jack on a rollercoaster ride of an investigation. And soon, letting go of their inhibitions seems like the most natural thing in the world.
A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC
At seventeen, Hannah Montgomery trips down the stairs and into the arms of her favourite rock star. Caught in the delicious fantasy of his embrace, she kisses him. After his first response, he releases her, saying she needs to grow up a little first. Hannah vows that one day, so help her, she’s going to make love to Nathaniel Fox. Nine years later, Hannah gets her chance. Nate’s career has hit rock bottom with drugs and partying. As a successful PR consultant, Hannah has the talent to get back on top. Their explosive sexual encounters are hotter than anything she ever fantasised about. It seems like the perfect partnership…But will Hannah’s working-girl image make him look like a has-been in the eyes of his fans?

OH there are so many! I love the scottish/irish rogues that turn out to be the big strong loveable protective type. Ummm I’ll say that in the last historical I read, I loved Lord Vale’s character by Elizabeth Hoyt 🙂

There are alot to pick from and some I can’t even remember there are so many but if I had to just pick one I would pick Roarke. I feel b/c I have read so many books I feel know him. He’s funny and caring and he has a wicked wit and you know he would walk through fire for you.

Hi Lauren:
I have read many that I would consider ideal in romance stories. However, I guess my favorite is Devereux of Lynda Hilburn’s “Kismet Knight Vampire Psychologist”, stories. Charismatic, brilliant and protective. *sigh* 😆
Best Regards

Oh…I don’t know, there are so many, every time I read a romantic book I love, I think it has the best hero ever. But no matter how many books I read, none ever overshadows Darcy from P&P. He is the best!!!
I like the hero Kev in Lisa Kleypas’s book Seduce me at sunrise. Quite hot indeed…

It’s a toss up between Stephanie Plum’s friends- either Ranger or Joe Morelli or any hero that is a cowboy

I think I will have to go with the Scottish Highlander. They are so untamed and the accent is a killer. I just love me some highlanders.

Hmmm….
I am so bad…I never remember book titles or the characters in them once I have picked up another book. Reading the list of what others have said….
Ranger is a good candidate…or Roarke…..and so many others….
Thanks!

Any of Julie Garwood’s heroes from her historicals, like Gabriel from “Saving Grace.”

Any man from your books, Lauren or Maya’s books. I would also say Roarke from Jd Robb is a romantic hero as well 😀

Oooh, Diana Gabaldon’s Jamie Fraser…Mmmmm. He’s smart, funny, sweet, hot, romantic as all get out and strong.
I am muchly intrigued by J.D Robb’s Roarke though I haven’t read those books yet. I saw one at my thrift story today and I was muchly tempted ‘Creation In Death’ ?? But I checked the least and it wasn’t the first book of that series so I didn’t want to start it if I wasn’t going to from the beginning first. But I must say…having the word ‘billionaire’ in there did whet my apetite. 😀

Nancy – Naked In Death is the first one and my personal favorite although I do love the whole series. It’s the one where Eve and Roarke meet so you’ll want to read it first.

I would also have to say the highlanders are dream-worthy!! Especially from Karen Marie Moning’s novels and Julie Garwood’s historicals.
Roarke is also very sexy tho 🙂

He may not have been a main character but I loved Dylan from the Men of August series by Lora Leigh. I’d ride his Harley any day.

It’s got to be Sebastian St. Vincent from Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas. Or better yet, don’t you have a spare Chase brother around somewhere, Lauren? Any of them would work! 😀
