I can’t believe I forgot to talk about Larissa Ione’s Pleasure Unbound!

Boys and girls this book is flat out awesome. Larissa’s worldbuilding here is top notch, her characters are so three dimensional and the things they do make sense. I loved the combination of Tayla and Eidolon – the warrior human and the demon doctor – so many wonderful conventions turned upside down! Yes he’s a doctor but oh so alpha, she’s a warrior but she’s wounded and searching for connection.

Her world of demon hierarchy and of the hunters who try to eradicate them is so wonderfully gray – no straight good or bad – so much is in perception and she writes this gray really well.

The romance is hot, hot, hot and the paranormal elements are fun and well drawn. This is one of my favorite reads of the entire year. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!!
