KEEPING THIS AT THE TOP UNTIL FRIDAY!! New content starts one post down!

The Magnificent Eight Authors have all gotten together to run a fabulous blog contest to win oodles of wonderful prizes! Check each participating author’s blog to see the prize she’s offering: Anya Bast, Jaci Burton, Me,Megan Hart,Joey Hill,Patrice Michelle,Mandy Roth, Shiloh Walker

If you had unlimited funds and ability to procure one, what sort of car would you drive and why?

My answer: 1969 Dodge Charger with a 426 Hemi engine – because I love muscle cars and this one is heavy and loud and powerful. It’s big and badass. Here’s a picture of one

Anya Bast’s Answer:

Practical Anya wants a Toyota Prius very badly. Non-Practical Anya dreams of a 1970 Dodge Challenger. It’s the car I gave Adam to drive in Witch Heart. Vroom!

Jaci Burton’s Answer:

A 1967 Corvette Stingray convertible with a 435 hp 427 v-8 engine. In Rally Red color. Because #1 it’s fast as lightning and #2 I’d look hot in it.

Megan Hart’s answer:

I would drive a completely restored 1968 Purple Chevy Impala convertible! Because I already have one, it’s just not in the best shape…

Joey Hill’s answer:

I’ve always wanted a lavender convertible 1989 Jaguar XJS. No real reason other than the fact it’s just one of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen and I love the idea of having it in lavender, with taupe-colored fabric seats. Maybe when I’m 105 and a wildly successful author, I’ll pull up to a conference or book signing in one. The bell staff will pull out my walker and help me get out of the bucket seat! And of course I’ll have a cat or two that rides along with me, perched on the head rest. Or a precocious grizzled old schnauzer in the passenger seat.

Patrice Michelle’s answer:

I’d buy a candy apple red ’69 Mustang because it has the best body style!

Mandy Roth’s answer:

The Munster Koach. I have wanted the car they drove in the Munster’s show since I was little. Come on, three model T bodies, blood red interior and 18 feet long. What’s not to love? The next best car would be Grandpa’s Drag-u-la for when I’m feeling a little sporty.

Shiloh Walker’s answer:

Man…I’m so not a car person. I like the classic mustangs. I guess one of those. Or maybe a Harley-can I pick a Harley?

So lovely readers – If you had unlimited funds and ability to procure one, what sort of car would you drive and why? Answer here and on Friday I’ll choose TWO winners at random from the comments.

The prize will be: a signed copy of any of my books available in print! Don’t forget to check out the other blogs to see what they’re offering up!!

I know that this is going to be the lamest answer but I am really not a car person at all. I would like to have a practical and safe family car which would be comfortable to get the faimly from spot to spot.

On a wild note, I would love to have a Harley…I think that they are so sexy and hot (and I know really car).

I want an RV to travel the US in without having to worry about hotels but I would like someone to drive me around in it so I wouldn’t have to worry about directions or parking it.

Well, it’s not environmentally friendly, but I really miss having an SUV. Between lugging my kids, their friends, their hockey/soccer/ballet stuff and our 100lb Labrador Retriever, I kinda need the room~ but since I have unlimited funds, I will be able to buy a hybrid SUV, maybe a fancy new Toyota Highlander, and not feel quite as guilty!

I tend to avoid cars because i’m scared of learning how to, plus i don’t drink so i don’t want to be the designated driver.

    I would love a motorbike though…can i pick a motorbike?

I’m with Jaci on this one, a 1967 Corvette Stingray convertible with a 435 hp 427 v-8 engine. I loves Corvettes in general so any would do but the older ones make my heart go pitter patter. A dream like state over takes me and I’m hopeless.

I’ve been dreaming of a bright yellow 2001 Thunderbird convertible for seven years now.

I have fond memories of driving to Ocean City, MD in a Thunderbird convertible back in the 80’s and my son was born in 2001.

    A BMW 1er , 3 door
The current base BMW offered in Europe. They are cute, and a kick to drive. They’re just not offered here….They offer the 135 instead.

So, if I were rich, I would be able to take my Euro spec car and have an automobile visa for it.

    Take a look

An environmentally-friendly smart car – as in intuitive/intelligent with an onboard computer, and runs on carbon monox/dioxide. I have enough money to “create” my car, right?

I’d want something Italian like maybe a Lamborghini. And if funds are inlimited I’d change the color every season. That way I wouldn’t get bored with it or worry about it getting scratched.

For me there are two answers…well since there seem to be two people living inside me LOL

The slightly naughty part of me wants an Eleanor from the movie Gone In 60 Seconds

But the really dark and naughty chick that I try not to acknowledge too much really wants a Buggati Veyron 😈 http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=108032 If I’m gonna drive it like I stole it, might as well make it one the cops can’t catch me in LOL

    Hi Lauren! Cool question!

When I was dating with hubby, we would walk and there was this Jeep dealer and we were always saying our first new car would be a jeep! Just like the ones those used on the rough roads, in the mountain areas and the like. Being able to take the hood down and more! We still haven’t gotten it yet, but still time!!

I have always wanted a classic Jag (love the long sleek look) and would need unlimited funds both for the insurance and for the second car because old Jags need frequent maintenance and spend many days in the shop.

    Hi Lauren,
    I would buy a 2008 Aston Martin DB9 volante.
as the website says ” An Aston Martin combines three important elements: power, beauty and soul.”

Do I need to say anymore. 😀
