Tired!

So today I got up first thing and ran out to deal with school supplies for my sons. Is there some sort of national crayon shortage wherein 24 count boxes are not available anywhere? I know, I know, the worst day to go school supply shopping is the day before school starts and a holiday but I had a busy summer and the school never even sent a list and I finally just grabbed one online and, and, so okay, it was a bad idea. But I did finish, thank goodness and I even got everything after several shops.

Then I came home, the mini me took a nap, I wrote and edited Stripped but she only slept half an hour, sigh. So we went out again to get some shirts for the dudes and new shoes which was more exhausting because going to the mall makes me feel 112 years old and grumpy. Why can’t people say excuse me? Why does no one have manners? My two year old can say please and thank you, my 5 year old can move aside when people walk past, why can’t a 24 year old? Why can’t a 40 year old? I don’t get it. Heck, I say excuse me if I burp when I’m alone in my car sometimes, LOL.

So I’m darned tired but tomorrow is the first day of school (YAY!) and the first day of kindergarten for my 5 year old who is mooning over his Spiderman backpack and jumping around excitedly. I’m pretty happy for him, I think he’ll have a great time. Apparently though, they just hired a new teacher and there’ll be a new class assignment but we won’t know for sure until tomorrow morning at 9. Shrug. I’d be agitated that they’ve given no information at all on pick ups and other need to know stuff but what can I do at this point but wing it and be darned glad my oldest will be there to hopefully keep his little brother from wandering off on his own at the end of the day.

So bath for them and then bed and then I need to get back to writing. I hit 16 thousand words today, yay!

Hehehe I immediately thought of one of my favorite movie lines from Lonesome Dove.

“I hate rude behaviour in a man. Won’t tolerate it.”

    😆
