After a little bit of a hiatus, the next Goddess With a Blade book – WRATH OF THE GODDESS is now available in digital and audio formats! Print will release on June 25.

Rowan Summerwaite is back—and more than a little pissed off—in Wrath of the Goddess, the fifth installment in New York Times bestselling author Lauren Dane’s Goddess with a Blade series.

You can’t keep a vengeful woman down for long.

Rowan Summerwaite, elite hunter and human vessel to the goddess Brigid, has returned home to Las Vegas—and she’s mad as hell. It seems someone thought they could eliminate Rowan and everyone she holds dear.

That someone was dead wrong.

With tensions between paranormal factions at an all-time high, Rowan and her crew, along with her sexy Vampire Scion husband, Clive Stewart, have their work cut out for them. The Vampire Nation has at least one traitor in their midst, leaving them extremely vulnerable…but if it’s a war they want, Rowan’s prepared to bring the pain like never before.

Rowan knows her duty is to those she’s sworn to protect, but it seems the harder she fights, the more barriers she hits…and the more friends she loses.

With even her closest alliances in question, Rowan will have to accept that sometimes the path toward the greater good means making heartrending sacrifices along the way…

What I’m Loving

I have a slight (okay more than slight) addiction to pens, notebooks, paper and stickers. The best thing about pens is that most of the ones I use aren’t expensive so I can try out new ones, new colors and the like regularly. I am SO digging the Pentel EnerGel pen (.5 point). It’s my current favorite for when I handwrite notes and synopses. It’s smooth, doesn’t spew ink everywhere and the colors are lovely. I’m using a pretty teal blue that shows up well on the colored papers I use in my book planner.

Because Shannon Stacey is a wicked sticker pusher, I discovered Miss Moss Gifts and fell in love with all the curvy, fun women in them (and not just white ladies!). Got a few sheets that are so adorable they really did perk my planner up but now I don’t have them and I need more. Not really a problem!

Two years ago I moved from a spiral planner calendar system to inserts I use in my Chic Sparrow Pemberly. I get them from Yellow Paper House and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Such great customer service (for example when I ordered my 2020 quarterly calendar inserts I made an error and chose one quarter in a different format than the others and they included both) They also have several other types of planner and journal stuff including gorgeous paper I use in my A5 6 ring binder (my plotting/work in progress process).

What are you all loving these days?

Back to my word fetish

Today let’s talk about the words “cum” and “come”

I really dislike the way the word “cum” looks on the page or screen. It looks tacky to me. There are other words – seed, semen, jism, spunk, sperm – but … Read More »

Ah Rejection…

So my novella wasn’t chosen for the Cavemen anthologies for this year. Well, I think I’d be more depressed if the list they did chose weren’t all such very good writers. And I really didn’t have a lot of time … Read More »

The hilarity of editing

So I’m currently slogging through the first major edit of Triad, which is intricate work but I’m really fortunate to have a great editor who makes good suggestions. One thing that keeps making me laugh though, are notations like “do … Read More »

Slogging along. I hate editing, I hate it with the heat of ten thousand white hot suns. But not as much as I hate say, washing dishes or doing laundry so I’m trying to keep it in context.

Rereading through … Read More »

Words

It’s always a challenge to figure out what words to use when describing genetialia. In the last few years “cunt” has made a comeback but I still find myself hesitant to use it, loads of baggage there, it hasn’t been … Read More »

Working

So I’ve been working on a short story/novella and I realized yesterday that I can’t let the characters go in ten thousand words, they need more. So, I put them aside and started something else that I plan to submit. … Read More »
