Taking Chase
“I’m gonna kiss you now, Cassie Gambol.”
“Why? I mean, why do you want me? I don’t understand it. I can’t lie and tell you I don’t know you’ve been regarded as a player here in Petal. I like men, yes, but I’m afraid of being a casual indulgence to a man like you.”
“There’s not a damned thing about the way I feel about you that’s casual. Now, I’ve been dying to do this for so long.” He closed the last bit of distance between them and he brushed his mouth over hers. His lips were lush and delicious, spicy and masculine, just like the rest of him. They both groaned as he moved away.
“Cassie, you fascinate me. I’m shocked by how much I want you. I think I started wanting you when you kicked my ass at pool. No, I’m a damned liar. Since you stumbled out of your wrecked car and called my momma Crash.” He put his face into her neck and inhaled deeply. “God, you smell good.”
“Shampoo, sweat and a little bit of Delice,” she breathed out, running her tongue over the lips he’d just touched with his own. A sense of unreality … read more ->
Reluctant
Across the room, Sid Rosario watched the tall, very busty redhead enter the room and sit down. Her hair was tousled around her shoulders like she’d just rolled out of bed and very big china-blue eyes took in the room around them. And damn, but the woman did leather pants well enough to make him want to lick her like a giant ice-cream cone.
“Who is that?” Sid asked his cousin Adam.
Adam peered around Sid’s shoulder and smiled. “The tall one with the red hair is Layla Warden. The petite one is Tia Mathers. Layla is Pack royalty. She’s the oldest daughter. Tia’s just smoking hot.”
“I’m not interested in her pedigree. But I’d sure like to get to know her better. You know either one of them?” Sid could not take his eyes from Layla Warden’s mouth with that shiny red lipstick painting it. His cock throbbed in anticipation as a picture of red lipstick marks at the base of it flashed through his mind. Lipstick kisses on his cock, yeah, that worked.
“Ah, it’s like that, is it? Well, many have tried and failed. She’s a bit cool. But yeah, Tia and I dated a few times. … read more ->
Tri Mates
Lex narrowed his eyes at her and then handed her a map. “We’re around the corner in a bungalow. The dog will have space and Megan can be nearby to keep an eye on you.”
Nina smiled. She loved how sweet he was under that tough wolf exterior. “Thank you, Scooby. We should get our crap unloaded then. It’s coming up on the meeting time.”
He pulled the car around and they moved the stuff into the bungalow, fed and watered Milton and let him do a quick run.
“Go on, I’ll be up in a second,” Tracy called out. “I just want to let him run a bit more before I go.”
“You know where it’s at then?”
“Yes, Lex. You showed us on the map four times already. And I won’t be late, I promise. And no, I’m not going to change. It’s stupid. He’s going to mediate a buffer and I don’t need pantyhose for that.”
Nina shoved Lex up the walk and Megan waved back at Tracy and then moved to flank Nina.
Tracy let Milton run a few minutes more and took him back inside, made sure it was warm enough, gave him a treat … read more ->
Vengeance Due
“Something I can do for you, darlin’?” she asked in a smoky drawl.
Pleased, she watched his pupils widen and his breath catch. He liked her voice. She liked it when he licked those lips, the sight making her tingly and achy all at once.
Then he had to go and ruin it. His raw appraisal of her halted when he moved his gaze from her to the walls. The sexy study became calculating.
“Yeah, what are you doing with runes on your walls?” he asked in a low, hoarse voice. It should have been scratchy but it was like suede. Still, he asked it like a prick.
Her eyebrows shot up and her hands rested on her hips. “You doing a survey?” she shot back in the same terse fashion that he’d asked.
He couldn’t hold back a smile. “Sorry, didn’t mean to sound short. Just curious. I don’t see them often.”
She looked at him closer and saw his forearms bore a rune each. “Except when you look in the mirror?”
“Well, so you can see why I’d be curious.”
“I’m a witch.” She shrugged. “They’re protective runes, as you know.”
He took a few steps forward. She … read more ->
Sudden Desire
“That makes me what? Your PA with benefits? It sure doesn’t make me your girlfriend.”
He stilled. “Is that what you want? To be my girlfriend?”
She exhaled in disgust. “Jesus, Trev, don’t have a stroke. I’m not trying to claim you after one sexual encounter. I’m merely using your own words and then pointing out the obvious differences between what you’re suggesting and what I am not.”
After several moments of silence, she shrugged. “I’m looking for another job, Trevor. I can’t afford to wait around. In fact, I’ve got four offers on my plate right now.” And now that he’d touched her, been inside her, there was no way she could be his PA and watch him with anyone else. She couldn’t be his bit on the side. She’d hate him and herself, too.
“Look, I came all the way up here to talk to you. Can you just give me a few days, please?”
“A few days for what? Trevor, tomorrow you have a fundraiser to attend, you’re taking Marie Jansen.”
“This is why I need you back!”
“No, this is why you need a palm pilot, as I’ve been advising you for two years to get. … read more ->
Giving Chase
On Christmas Eve morning, Maggie woke up and stretched. Taking her time, she looked at the long naked lines of Kyle’s body with a lazy smile. He was all hers. She got up quietly to run down and turn on the coffee maker before coming back up to shower.
“Hey, I think you missed a spot,” Kyle said, stepping into the shower stall behind her. He took the sponge from her and soaped her back and down over the curves of her ass. He licked the cinnamon freckles of her shoulders and up her neck to her ear. He brought the sponge around and abraded her nipples with it, while tonguing her ear. Her eyes closed and she leaned back into him.
In her life she’d never felt so cherished and loved. His hands on her, his words in her ear wrapped around her heart. To belong to someone like Kyle had just never entered her imagination. Being loved like that was the finest gift life had ever granted her.
Rinsing herself off, she moved him around into the spray so she could do a bit of pampering herself. Stepping on the edge of the tub so she could reach … read more ->
A Touch of Fae
They walked out onto the sidewalk. Em breathed in the air. Every city had a distinctive smell and she was coming to love London’s mix of river, exhaust and food stalls. As they began to walk she turned to Mrs. Belton. “London is such a lovely city. I can’t believe I don’t…”
The air was knocked out of her and she stumbled as she collided with someone. She looked up and into the face of an extraordinarily handsome man with caramel-colored hair that just began to brush the collar of the fisherman’s sweater he had on. He gave her a sexy smile and steadied her with large hands.
“Oh, pardon me,” he said, still wearing that smile. Her stomach tightened, her nipples hardened and suddenly, her silky panties felt tight and wet as her pussy bloomed and her eyes dilated. She gazed into his honey brown eyes and felt as if she were falling.
“Are you all right, dear?” Mrs. Belton asked.
Em had to clear her throat twice before any sound could come out. “Yes, yes of course. Please excuse me, I wasn’t looking where I was walking,” she said to the gorgeous hunk of man candy in front … read more ->
Enforcer
“Go ahead, get a good look and get the hell out,” she said as he set the bags down on the counter. She began to open up cabinets and the fridge and put the food away, acting as if he wasn’t even there.
“What? No thank you for hauling your groceries?” he teased.
She looked back over her shoulder and raised an eyebrow at him. “Make it quick, wolf boy. I may just change my mind and toss you out.”
It was his turn to give her a raised brow. He was a werewolf in his prime. The most feared Enforcer in North America. Heck, people were downright scared of him. He stood there, all muscle and sinew—there was no way that she could budge him, even if she took a running leap.
“Smirk all you want, I’ve warned you,” she said in a nearly sing-song voice that made him bark out a laugh. She caught him off guard, he liked that.
He was a damned good tracker, it was one of the reasons why he was an excellent Enforcer. He always found his man. Focusing on Rey’s scent, he moved through the house, but the only place that he … read more ->
Triad
As Lee got dressed she couldn’t keep her eyes off her new purchase hanging on the wall in her bedroom. Earlier in the day, she’d gone in to one of the shops on Royal where her paintings were on commission and had spent three hundred dollars because a painting had pulled at her. There was something incredibly compelling about it, it spoke to her, drew her in. She placed it in her bedroom, across from the bed so that she could look at it as she was going to sleep. It was very modern, an explosion of color and emotion, something she wouldn’t normally have liked much less spent that kind of money on, but she knew she couldn’t have left the shop without it.
After she’d changed into a flirty sun dress and some sandals, she pulled her heavy hair back to the nape of her neck with a silver clip, careful to not catch the amulet that her mother had given her on her tenth birthday. She reached up to trace the stylized circle of three bent sevens, wrought from silver that hung between her breasts. It was special. According to her mother, Annalisa Charvez, one of her … read more ->
