The tracklist for most of my Chase and Petal books are heavier toward country music. A lot of Jake Owen, Luke Bryan, Lee Brice, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley and Blake Shelton in the Joe scenes, but I gotta say Miranda Lambert dominated the Beth scenes.
One of my faves:
Blake Shelton’s Over
Miranda Lambert – Nobody’s Fool
Luke Bryan – Country Girl (Though TBH, this is way more country than I usually like my country – I really do love this song and it sort of encapsulates the story – how Joe sees Beth, the town, all the young people in love, etc)
Sara Evans – A Little Bit Stronger – because there’s some heartbreak in the story
Miranda Lambert – Oklahoma Sky
One of the few non country songs – but one that was sort of the patron song of the whole story between Joe and Beth
Garbage – Beloved Freak
Today I’m giving away a set of the Chase Brothers books – in print or digital, winner’s choice – winner chosen from the comments to this post. What genre do you want to see more of on the shelves (to read)?

I like the mix of several genres. My taste is so eclectic that if you lean too much to one or the other, it doesn’t feel like a real story.

I listen to a mixture of genres. But lately I have been listening to country music. Your favorites are great songs. They are all great songs. Especially listening to the music while reading the Chase books. Yummy!!!!:)

I prefer contemporary over paranormal. There are a few paranormal books I like but I usually don’t gravitate towards them.

I love contemporaries, especially ones set in small towns like Petal and a little bit of paranormal thrown in for when I need a little bit of a change 😉

I love contemporary the most, with scenes that melt the letters off the pages. A good ol country boy that makes your heart skip a beat. 🙂
