Working on finishing up Raven’s book. Still no title – but strangely I’m all right with it. Because she’s changing over the pages as she slowly reveals herself and her past to her hero. Yesterday’s work was pretty much all about several reveals and man, did I go to bed just totally exhausted! I think this means it’s good, but we’ll see what you all think when the book comes out next year.

School’s about to start for my spawn. My oldest is off to high school! It was like yesterday when I dropped him off at kindergarten and now he’s nearly 15 and taller than I am. Cripes, where’d the time go? The other two go back to elementary school but after this year, they’ll be in three different schools. It’s funny, when they were all very little I used to imagine this time but what I didn’t understand was how bittersweet it would be. It’s good. I’m proud of them, I can’t lie, I NEED for them to go back so I can get work done, but each time this fall ritual takes place, it draws them closer to the time they’ll go off and live their lives as adults.

I’ve got to run! Need to get lots more words in today and also make sure everyone has all their supplies and all that jazz. Have a good day!

You know how to make your readers’ mouths water with the snippets of the Brown Siblings’ spin off!!I’m looking forward to each of them and savour the anticipation.
And you are absolutely right about the bitter-sweetness of kids growing up!Mine are adults and although it’s great to watch them making their way in the world I still miss having them around regularly. Well, life is life and it’s good to enjoy what you’ve got right now.

My son also started HS this week, he sounds like yours. They grow up so fast. My daughter started Kindgergarten and I felt numb the first day. I was happy she was so excited, but where did the time go. 😥
