Three To Tango…

So lucky me, I got my author copies a little earlier than I usually do. So I’ve done a twitter contest and realized I haven’t done a blog contest in a while.

To remedy this: Want to win a signed copy of the THREE TO TANGO anthology with me, Emma Holly, Megan Hart and Bethany Kane?

Four of erotic fiction’s most talented authors carry readers away with all-new tales of ecstasy that prove that the most delectable things in life come in threes…

In Emma Holly’s FLIPPING FOR CHELSEA, Shay and Liam shared an unforgettable night with their lifelong friend, Chelsea, awakening a rush of forbidden feelings–feelings they have to reckon with when the three reunite, and the unrequited lust between them is too much to bear.

Though Ava left her hard-knock Georgia childhood behind, she never forgot Luca and Angelo. Together they were best friends with a bond that could never be broken. But when she returns, the three must decide whether to face the fires that burn between them, or forgo their desires forever in Lauren Dane’s DIRTY/BAD/WRONG.

In Megan Hart’s JUST ONE NIGHT, fun-loving couple Kerry and Jeremy find themselves in a triangle of trouble when Kerry’s old crush, Brian, returns for a school reunion, and Jeremy gives her his enthusiastic approval to seduce him. But while Jeremy has no trouble sharing Kerry, Brian isn’t sure he can handle what’s coming.

Years ago, Walker walked out on Madeline when she needed him most. Now, the ex-Secret Service agent is back–hired to protect Madeline by her billionaire boss, Tony. Madeline is determined to make him pay for denying her desires–and she’s not above bringing Tony in to sweeten the deal in Bethany Kane’s ON THE JOB.

I’m beyond thrilled to be in such amazing company in this anthology!

All you need to do to enter is: Comment to this post by 9 am pacific, tomorrow April 21. A winner will be announced here and he or she will have SEVEN DAYS to claim the book. International entries are totally welcome!

What do you all think about menages? Yes? No? Maybe? What makes a menage a keeper?

i think that menages are a good thing. they keep life and sex exciting.
i think that to keep a menage there needs to be total honesty on what the individuals would like from it as well as how their feelings are. if there is not complete honesty then the menage might fail or jealously might occur.

I love reading well-written menage stories…where the complicated issues of the relationship are addressed and dealt with. I also like when the three characters are all strong but willing to compromise for the health/success of the relationship — ya know, they act like adults! I had read a few that were real duds and was off them until I read LAID BARE after reading the Chase Bros series. Also really liked Leah Braemel’s TEXAS TANGLE.

What woman wouldn’t want to be the centerof attention of two GORGEOUS men?? Now normal everyday men?? Probably not so much cause then it just sounds like a lot of work. LOL

I enjoy reading menages because I think they are the most dynamic of relationships. They are complex relationships which makes them fragile. I like to see how everyone’s feelings are negotiated. There is always a danger that someone will be or feel left out. But when it works it is wonderful. I have to say that I like both m/m/f and m/f/m menages. M/m/f is hotter in my opinion.

i love reading menage stories the steamier the better. its also interesting to see the feelings unfold if one gets more jealous or falls for the other. but i cant help but get way into the menage part of the story and sit there visualizing and well then getting a little hot myself.

    Hi

I love to read about menages and although I would never say never but at this time I am not sure I would be in one. I think to make a menage a keeper would have to be great friends (with benefits) and without jealousy.

    Thanks

I think this day in age any relationship is hard but I think menages are great….in a relationship like that you have to be comfortable and love yourself in order to make it work. Keep everything about it real. Can’t wait for the release of this book…Would love to win a copy, but either way I am going to own it!! Good luck to everyone!! πŸ™‚

I’m far too possessive to share my Hubby with anyone. I do like to read about them though, I live vicariously through the characters!

Tha anthology sounds good, I do like Emma Holly but I haven’t tried Bethany or Megan’s writing. Thanks for sharing! πŸ™‚

I think, as fantasies go, menages are hot, hot, hot. I love reading them in otherworldly settings, such as Holly’s Demon world or your Federation series. I have some rules when they’re set in the present-day, though, and that is that they have to be realistic when it comes to present-day issues. Some menage stories set in today’s world just sort of ignore that, and that bugs me (especially one I read where the woman had a young daughter and didn’t explain anything to the kid), and others come off sounding like a sex cult or something, LOL. But you! You hit the spot with Todd and Ben and Erin, and Holly did it just right with Menage (the first menage story I ever read — it set the standard). There’s another Black Lace title from years ago, I can’t remember the title or the author, but I remember the characters — a hot Spanish gypsy artist, a French surfer, and an Englishwoman in a country house in France…my, my. *fans self* Very well done.

I love a HEA written menage…i see where one woman could need more than one…but the males in general will have to be top dog alpha and his beta will still have to have alpha tendencies to their lady…but only in the bedroom…sigh my fantasy!!!

I love reading menage’ stories, the hotter the better. As far as the relationship goes, for me, I like it better in a context where it’s a once in a while kind of thing as opposed to an “everyday, we live together, we’re all together” type relationship. Having said that, I found “Laid Bare” to be a very believable story and a realistic menage’ relationship. And what girl wouldn’t want to be the center of not one, but TWO (or more) hot sexy men and their attention!!

A well-written menages a welcome addition to my keeper bookshelf. It has to have engaging characters, some angst, hot monkey sex! It is a dynamic relationship that can and does exist when all parties are fully involved.

For the longest, reading menages were taboo for me, much less actually participating in one. But I got over it, ventured out in my reading material, and now I’m actually into it. and really enjoy those stories. However, I do wish when I was younger, skinnier, and single I would have tried it, but I couldn’t do it now. I’m very possessive and the green eyed monster would go a little crazy if anyone touched what’s mine! πŸ˜‰

I have been looking for some really good ones since reading Laid Bare and Maya Bank’s Colter series. I have found a few that I liked, but not many. There are not very many that have real emotional attachment between all parties or actual story lines. That is why I am so excited about Three to Tango!

    Menage in a book…hell, yes!
Menage in real life…not for me.
I have known people who have been part of a menage, both 3 and 4 people. Some of the people loved it and some not so much.
Not all menage books are great. I have a few that I love and go back to read time and time again. They all share a couple of things in common. They characters feel real. I can understand why they got involved in a menage to start with. There is real emotion in the writing. Sometimes the emotion is deep and meaningful and sometimes it’s just funny. Three examples are, Lorelei James’ Rough, Raw and Ready. I love Chassie, Trevor and Edgard. Lauren Dane’s Laid Bare (yep, I went there ;)). When Todd and Ben finally express there feelings for each other, wow, just wow. And Erin is so strong and amazing. And my third is my funny book and my first ever menage I read. Shayla Black’s Dangerous Boys and Their Toy actually makes no sense as far as the setup. Really, trade sex with two hot guys for information? Seriously? But darn if I hadn’t fallen just a little in love with Cam and Thorn by the end. Honestly, I would love a book 2 just to follow up with the three characters. There’s my long answer to a short question!

HI! What I love about menages is the emotional pull to the characters. Some menages are just about the BAM BAM BAM thank you ma’am or sir. I love stories that you can connect with the characters.

I am really picky about my menage’s. They have to be well written, all about the woman’s pleasure and needs, and most of all have a a great story line.

I have read some that I loved and some that I absolutely detested.

I would love to win a copy.

Ah, menage … when written well and demonstrating caring between all participants, it’s the hottest thing to hit the page (or the sheets)! Do I want the HEA? Yeah, I do – but I don’t mind the drama to get there!
Some of the best (yes, Lauren Dane’s, Maya Banks’s et. al!) can show the real emotion behind the partnerships – everything from uncertainty, affection, desire, jealousy, possessiveness and love, just like in real life, and it’s so satisfying to see it end in a wonderful conclusion!

Menages…YEEESSS….never been there myself, but reading about them is beyond hot. The one’s I’ve read that have hot dominant men have been great. They have to be actually relevant to the story and the characters, not just because a menage scene would be hot.

I’d say “Maybe”. With the right men, I’d definitely be a part of a menage. It would be very tricky because there’d have to be total trust for everyone involved, IMNSHO, but that would make for a valuable relationship.

I’d say a great big yes to a menage πŸ˜† but for it to actually work out there would need to be a lot of trust and honesty between everyone involved. Plus it was just be totally awesome πŸ˜‰

I love a good menage story, but I think it depends on the plot and how the menage is handled.

    (1) Are all parties on the same page? I’ve read books where the men all fought sharing the same woman, and at the end it wasn’t really resolved but the author makes it appear that way. No. I have to believe that all men and/or women involved are ultimately sharing the same end goal, or at least move that way

    (2) Do I feel something for them? I don’t like menages just for sex. I have to feel like they are all making a commitment not just to the partner they are sharing, but to the other committed partner(s) in the relationship. And if they’re willing to explore with each other? All the better

    (3) A real plot. A menage is not something that someone just ups and decides to have, regardless of a willingness to sexually explore boundaries. I want to follow their story (stories) as they explore new territory and figure out how something works, doesn’t work, and how that menage fits in with a bigger picture, whether or not it ends with a menage HEA.

Love them, especially when they’re written well, with good character and relationship development. I tend to prefer it when the HEA is a menage also.

For a book to be a keeper it has to well written and believable in the context the book is set in. Menages add another level of emotional tension to the story. The author has to balance all of the emotions along with the needs of the people involved. Now some authors who remain nameless can’t do this so the relationship seems to be one sided or even abusive. Lauren on the other hand seems to understand that it not easy to have three people in a relationship and that there will be conflict. But conflict can make a story stronger. So for me it’s about the characters and their story.

Yes, love reading well-written menages. Most of my favorites are yours (Laid Bare, Undercover, Tri-Mates, Trinity). I loved how you did it in Laid Bare where it was obviously important to all 3 involved to respect each other and the relationship.
