MAKING CHASE Cover!

The final book in the series and the last of the pretty new covers!

Tate Murphy is a girl from the wrong side of the tracks. She grew up a million miles away from the easy life Matt Chase has had. She’s spent her life pulling herself and her siblings up and out of that trailer by the railroad tracks and she hasn’t looked back. Matt Chase is a dream of a guy and she’s certainly not going to turn down a short fling with one of the most handsome men she’s ever seen!

Matt Chase has watched each one of his brothers find love and he knows he’s ready for that too. It’s all a matter of finding the woman who captures his heart. He’s certainly sampled his fair share of them but none has moved him the way Tate Murphy does when he goes to her shop to thank her for some cookies and a thank you note.

But as Matt gets to know Tate and appreciate her strength and unique beauty, he also realizes she’s got some big self esteem issues about her past. To build a future, he’s got to find a way past some big road blocks.

Today’s Question: What is your favorite type of storyline and do you have any favorites to recommend to us? (Bad boys? Friends to lovers? Older brother’s best friend? Etc)

I’ll choose the winner tomorrow morning!

I love stories about lost loves who find each other again. Or there was a misunderstanding and they broke up and now they have a chance to be reunited again.

I love marrieds having problems, reunited lovers, friends to lovers, brother’s best friend & little sister… ok, maybe it would be easier to note what I don’t like as much, LOL. Cheaters and secret babies, among others.

And just a tiny question/note about the cover (which is beautiful!)… Tate’s arm does not look like someone who has any weight issues. That’s one of the skinniest arms I’ve ever seen. I think that’s why I loved the old cover for this one – she had a little meat on her bones, but was still positively beautiful.

Lori – you can’t imagine how difficult it is to find any stock of curvy women! It’s ridiculous. Frankly, I didn’t think the woman on the first cover was curvy enough either.

I am a fan of the friends to lovers storyline as well as the opposites attract storyline! Some of my favorites in the latter is the Psy/Changeling series by Nalini Singh. One of my favorite friends to lovers story is Branded as Trouble by Lorelei James. Love the cover but agree that the woman’s arm is too thin!

    Hello,

I happen to like reunited lovers stories the best. There are a bunch of good romances out there with this theme, which is good for me. I just re-read Roxanne St. Claire’s Hunt Her Down & Geralyn Dawson’s Always look Twice, which each feature a variation of the reunited theme. I also enjoy the ‘wrong side of the tracks’ premise, as well, so I think I would enjoy Making Chase.

I like friends to lovers the most, and reuniting stories least of all…

I love revenge and reunited lovers stories. Lisa Kleypas’ “Again the Magic” has both of these elements.

I love the three types you mention, and am currently reading a friends to lovers story by Cameron Dane called, Something New ( a menage story and wonderfully erotic).

I have two kinds I love the most.

Friends to lovers, I love the realisation that they’re falling for each other but each person is fighting it as they’re afraid of destroying the friendship.

The other is long lost loves…the reaquaintance and the refamiliarising as well as the new parts of eachother. The fact that they know eachother so well already, it’s almost one of the easiest kind but also one of the hardest. They know what each likes but also there’s the discovering why they split and over coming that obstacle
Me thinks I’ve put far to much thought into this.

I love bad boys. I love finding their gooey center inside the tough exterior they show to the world. I’ve of course found them in your books, as well as so many others…SEP-has one or two, Lora Leigh, Kresley Cole etc.

I’m a real sucker for ‘frenemy’ love stories and may/dec, age doesn’t determine maturity is my motto.

Lorelei James has been mentioned but I have to add that COWGIRL UP AND RIDE is a great read, it’s a may/dec of sorts even though Cord at 35 is not ‘old’ at all! 😆

What is your favorite type of storyline and do you have any favorites to recommend to us?

I don’t have a favorite I like them all. I do not like stories that involve any kind of violence towards children and abuse of either children or women, but other than that, I’m good.

Another great cover. Looks like great abs run in the Chase family LOL. I love:
    Reunited lovers
    Friends to lovers.
Best friend’s sister, brother, cousin etc.

    Don’t enter me.

I love the tortured hero; friends to lovers. Both allow a lot of character growth, and there is nothing better than seeing characters recognize that spark in someone that they never expected to find it in.

i enjoy the storylines where :

girl and boy hate each other then get together

girl and boy 2 different worlds ala romeo and juliet

reunited after years of being apart because of trouble, unable to be together. etc.

and i love storylines with some good old sex and fun 🙂

I love bad boys, hometown boys, and beauty and the beast type stories. I love a story set in a small town…the Chases’ are my absolute favorites.
