Today’s spotlight is on Denise Agnew! Denise is a fellow client at The Bradford Literary Agency and one of the very first authors I met after I contracted my very first book and is always happy to reach out to other authors and readers. She’s got two fabulous releases coming this month!

I love Alpha types and Cowboys. Those are my two favorite heros. I grew up in farm country and there is nothing sexier than a real cowboy.

Like Nikki, I, too, grew up on a farm and I am quite partial to cowboys.
I do love the alpha male, though, and as long as he’s brave, with a quick wit and a hint of sarcasm, he’s OK in my book.

Sexy Alphas are my thing! Being all dominate…oh curls my toes! but i do love it when their HEA is stubborn to their alpha status…makes for a great story!

I love Dominant men so definitely Alpha heroes. I enjoy reading about cowboys and policemen. Probably my favorite archetype is the sexy nerd. I love a smart man.

I’m not picky – I like pretty much any type of hero, sometimes even the total jerks. However, the one type book I’m just not into is the pirate story. I have no idea why, but if I read that the story is set on a ship, it’s an instant turn-off (unless it’s a space pirate story, those I’ll at least consider).

I love Alpha males, and any kind will do. They can be paranormal beings, pirates, cowboys, lawyers, I don’t care as long as they’re a strong, sexy, interesting character.

Alphas. Bring on the alphas. They are so much more fun to read (for me, at least). Who doesn’t love a man who thinks he’s all that and a bag of potato chips, only to get floored by a woman he wants?

I love Alpha heroes…I also enjoy reading about Beta heroes with dominant characteristics. As for what career they have…I’m pretty open to anything…cops, lawyers, cowboys, firemen, FBI agent, P.I., bounty hunter etc….any and all have the potential to be a fave. I like variety…what can I say? 😀

I Love alpha heroes: I need strong, dominant males, whi of course repect the women but are leaders. My ideal hero is tall, dark and handsome 😀 He is brave and courageous and has a warm and generous heart. And of course a dark chocolate-y voice that send shivers down your spine 😉 lol

I like the alphas, strong but still is sensitive. ones that are not afraid of being in love, won’t let anything get in their way..doesn’t matter if he’s a vampire, wolf, cowboy or military as long as he knows what he wants and goes after it. it’s also nice if he has a sense of humor too

I like heroes with enough belief in their own strength not to be threatened by a strong woman, and tender enough to be there if she needs someone to lean on.Alphas, cowboys, military, highlanders, knights, heroes from other worlds…I love reading about them all.

Alphas are my favorite but I love all strong men. If it’s physically strong or mentally strong they are both turn a turn on. Sid from Reluctant wasn’t an alpha male but was a strong male nonetheless and I loved the way his character was.

It really depends on the storyline but alpha males for the most part are my favorite. Especially if the male has the confidence to be open about his feelings for his woman.

I like Betas with streaks of Alpha in them; that way I won’t be wanting hit them as much as kissing them. 😀
And although I’m not prone to seasickness, I got to go with the cowboy over the pirate. Solid ground (unless in CA during an earthquake) is generally the better thing. Plus, I like horses. Also, intelligence is sexy so that would make my fav a mostly Beta, sometimes Alpha, cowboy nerd?

I’m fairly equal opportunity when it comes to heroes, but my favorites are smart, competent, passionate, and full of integrity. Ideally they also are humble and have a sense of humor 🙂 Too much to ask? No!
