2010

If you missed your chance to win this one before, here’s another crack at it! Today’s fabulous daily contest book is another in Anya Bast’s Elemental Witches series – WITCH HEART.

With the immense powers of an earth witch, Claire isn’t destined to be a demon’s handmaiden. Yet this has been her fate since she was six, when her warlock mother brought her to Eudae. Now as an adult, she’s about to discover her true power—and how far others are willing to go to take it away…

As part of a mission with the Coven, Adam Tyrell rescues Claire from her enslavement—and finds himself immediately taken with the beautiful witch. But this charming playboy soon learns that it’s easier to steal Claire from demons than win her heart, for her life as a servant has ravaged her spirit. But with Adam determined to protect her from the warlocks who want to harness her magick for evil, Claire’s resistance starts to give way—and they find themselves in the heat of danger, surrendering to the lure of their deepest desires…

DAILY QUESTION: How do you feel about series? Love em? Hate em? Any good recs?

I’ll choose a winner from the comments first thing tomorrow! Good luck!

I love series if they appear regularly in the book shop.
If you fall in love with a character you don’t want to be waiting years until their next adventure turns up.

I really love series. I like seeing characters that I fall in love with again. The longer the series the better. I am reading a series by Kresley Cole that is into the 8th book and JR Ward into her 7th book plus an insiders book. I love them. The only problem is when I start live time reading them. I first started to read these two series after a few had been written and now the WAIT for the next book is a killer. LOL!! Wish authors could magically write faster. LOL

I love a good series ❗ That is, if it follows along well, the characters remain strong and the authors main idea/themes don’t get lost somewhere along the way.

JR Ward, Nora Roberts, Charlaine Harris and Laurell K. Hamilton all have great series that I love to read! 😎

I enjoy series. However, there are a few series out there I haven’t enjoyed. A good series all depends on the author and how the series is written. A few of my favs are Kenyon, Ward, Showalter, Cole & Moning.

I usually enjoy series but I have to start at the beginning even if it’s not necessary to follow the story. And a good cliff-hanger ending can be so delicious but so frustrating at the same time! Thanks for another great offer!

it depends on what kind of series. if it features only one character in a whole slew of books, then no. but if it’s a series with a different couple in each of the books (i.e., larissa ione’s demonica series–my fave!) and all the couples are somehow connected with each other, then yes i love those kinds of series.

I only like series if they capture my attention throught it all. If I lose attention half way then I don’t like it.

Hope you haven’t chosen yet – I really enjoy book “series” – it’s kind of like “coming home” to see what favorite characters have done since the last book. I’m currently reading U is for Undertow and have read Grafton’s books since A!
