When you’re a half incubus, your reputation precedes you…
All eyes are on Gabriel Mac Braire the day he makes his first appearance in the Seelie Court, including those of Aislinn Finvarra. Despite deep bitterness over her last failed relationship, Aislinn cannot help but be curious about the half incubus who is known to possess dark magick, both lethal and sexual in nature. Rumors abound of the women who have become enslaved to his irresistible charms.
So when the Summer Queen of the fae orders Aislinn herself to act as his guide in the court, she is understandably on guard. She’s fallen under the spell of far less persuasive men before. In addition, Gabriel might be more than he seems and his true mission is far from innocent.
This time, Aislinn must protect not only her heart, but her very life…

I like my heroines mouthy. Even if they aren’t physically capable of defeating all the things in the dark, well-timed sarcasm and quick wit are a sign of a brain that’s not wasted.

For me it depends on the story and the hero! I do like a strong, know what she wants heroine like Mary Elizabeth Potter in Mackenzie’s Mountain. She knew what she wanted and what she believed and she didn’t let anyone say anything bad about Wolf, even Wolf himself!!

I like smart, funny, independent but know when to get help heroines. Some of my favorites are Kitty, Mercy, Cat, and Eve Dallas.

My favorite type of heroine is one who knows her own mind and will not take any crap from the men in her life. She will stand up for what she believes in. An example for my favorite type of heroine would be Abby from Shadow Hawk by Jill Shalvis.

I relate best to a heroine who knows she has flaws but strives to make the most of her strengths. She doesn’t need to apologize for not living up to other peoples expectations. It’s great when she knows or discovers her sensuality and owns it for better or worse. Self discovery on many levels reminds us that even though these are characters, we all have some commonality. Fantasy and fiction provide the escapism that we all need from reality.

I like strong heriones who know what they want…even if they have to think about it for a bit…and are then willing to fight for it. An example would be Mercy Thompson from Patricia Briggs’ series.
Great contest!!

Definitely a smart one! 😛 And she’s gotta be tough too. Also, she doesn’t swoon at ‘handsome’ guys.

I like herione who are smart and willing to take a chance. One that knows what she wants and is not afraid to go for it. It is nice if she can hold her own and still be tender to the man of her choise. I also like them smart and sassy .

A woman that knows what she want, how to get it, and does what she needs to get it. Hard headed and smart enough to be who she wants to be.
