Reading: Kindred in Death – and really digging it so far. Dealing with a subject that’s sort of a hot button for me, but done really well.

Finished: Grave Secrets – and loved it. LOVED it. The end felt sort of abrupt to me, but Harris is an auto-buy for me because I absolutely love her writing. I love that she writes about working class people who struggle in the way millions of people do every day. It adds something to the stories she writes and I totally adore her books. If you haven’t tried this series, do be sure to start at the beginning because the book really centers on the story arc carried over the whole series.

Start Me Up – Victoria Dahl’s contemporaries are just as fab as her historicals. The book manages to be hot hot hot as well as very sweet. Love that combo. Can’t wait for Jane’s story!

Re-Read: Neuromancer and Count Zero by William Gibson – reaffirms my adoration for Gibson and his way with words. Gah, he’s so good! Hotter in Hawaii by HelenKay Dimon – because well, because I love me some HelenKay and it pleased me to pick it up.

Shout out to the fabulous Ava Gray who’s Skin Tight is out this week. I gushed about the book earlier this week, so today how about a contest? The winner will receive a copy of Skin Tight via Amazon (Canada, US or UK)! All you need to do is comment here with a recent read! EasyPeasy no? I’ll choose a winner at 5 pm pacific today, Friday November 6.

I enjoyed Grave Secret. I read it last weekend. It’s my favorite in the series so far. I LOVE first person so I really enjoy Charlaine Harris’s Sookie series as well.

Yesterday I read Foundation by Mercedes Lackey and was so frustrated with it I went to Amazon to see what people reviewing it said. Those who did not like it disliked it for the same reasons I did, so I felt a little better.

I also reread Bitten by Kelley Armstrong this week (I actually have a tiny bit left) and it has been so long that I’d forgotten nearly all of it. I definitely forgot the gory details, and I also forgot how charmed I was by Clay. 🙂 Now I need to read all of the Elena/Clay stories again…
