Wheee! I just heard my new dryer’s “hello, I’m done” song. It’s a happy little ditty and it makes me smile. I know, okay, up front a few things about me: I’m weird. Just in case you hadn’t noticed this. Odd things please me. I sing at random. I have a morning “get ready” soundtrack so I can get pumped to write. Lil Wayne is on this list. Now I know when you look at me, you think, Oh yes, she TOTALLY listens to Lil Wayne, but I do say, “Muthafuckah I’m ILL” to myself to keep going when I start flagging.
So my new dryer? It’s RED. Shiny red front loader. My husband, who is my favorite boy in the world said, “Life is better when you have pretty things to look at. Get the washer too.” Knows enough to not give it to me as a present, but also knows it pleases me to see them in all their shiny goodness, singing in my laundry room. Of course the reason I have them is that my old dryer died on Friday afternoon, LOL.
The weather is cooling down, which I always appreciate. I also appreciate school being back in, or it will be totally on Monday when my youngest finally starts full day kindy. She’s so grumpy this week, tantrums over everything and while I know it’s because she’s nervous about the changes in her life, she’s seriously driving me nuts, LOL.
Tomorrow I’ll book talk so be sure to check back in. I’ll be giving away a copy of Megan Hart’s Pleasure and Purpose to one lucky winner.

Washer/dryer envy. Sigh. I have to haul all my shit down to the basement–down a flight of STAIRS–old building so we have to jump through serious hoops (i.e. serious plumbing work) to get one in our apartment. And red? My eyes are turning green.
Oh, but I’m glad for you. Mostly. 😉

LOL Enjoy your new washer and dryer. I envy you. I live in an apartment and don’t have the space or hookups for them.

Thanks for letting your trillions of fans know what is happening with the books and I know you have a busy and hectic schedule being a successful author.
The only thing is if you DIDN’T write such great stories we would not be interested it’s your own fault for creating The Cherchez Pack and Cascadia Wolves which is how i came to start reading your books in the first place.
If you dont want us interested then DON’T keep writing and we will choose another author!!!!!
Sorry to be so expressive but that’s just how I feel.

Karen – we started out at Lowes, but despite standing there, asking each other questions, the four people employed to work in that section couldn’t be bothered to stop talking to each other and wait on us. We left and ended up spending our money at Best Buy where we were treated far better.
Melissa and Pam – oh yeah, 23 years with him, he’s definitely a keeper
Collette – LOL, I did my time in apartments without W/D in the unit and laundromats! Our old washer used to rip stuff when it got caught on the center agitator, grrr. and the dryer burned stuff. Finally at 41 I get stuff that works!
NJ – thank you!
Karen – aww, aren’t you sweet – thank you.

Totally jealous about the new dryer. I have a perfectly functional set, about 5 years old, and I’ve spent way too much time scheming ways to kill them so I can have new ones. My dream? Shiny, RED front-loading duo. Makes me drool just looking at them at Lowe’s (LOL). I would actually be thrilled to receive them as a present, but hubby’s too cheap for that (he’s great otherwise, been married 20 years, and he’s definitely a keeper), but damn the man is cheap. Anyway, enjoy the new toys. I’ll continue with my fantasies…
