Today’s Book is:
I pay strangers to sleep with me. I have my reasons…
But they’re not the ones you expect. For starters, I’m a funeral director taking over my dad’s business. Not exactly the sort of person you’d expect to fork over cash for the lust and urgency only live, skin-to-skin contact can create. Looking at me, you wouldn’t have a clue I carry this little secret so close it creases up like the folds of a fan. Tight. Personal. Ready to unravel in the heat of the moment.
Unsurprisingly, my line of work brings me face to face with loss. So I decided long ago that paying for sex would be one of the best (and arousing) ways to save myself from the one thing that would eventually cut far too deep.
But Sam was a mistake. Literally. I signed on to “pick up” a stranger at a bar, but took Sam home instead. And now that I’ve felt his heat, his sweat and everything else can I really go back to impersonal?
Let’s just hope he never finds out about my other life…
Today’s Question: What was your favorite song during the best summer of your life?
I got asked about my own answer and it would most likely be Inxs’ Need You Tonight. The summer before I got married, a whole group of us went to Mexico and I remember this song was everywhere. We danced to it in every single club. It was a wonderful summer. I was young and head over heels in love.
I’ll be back tomorrow at noon pacific to announce a winner. Winners must claim their prize within seven days or I’ll re-draw. Good luck.
CONTEST NOW CLOSED. WINNER ANNOUNCED ABOVE!

Talk Dirty To Me By Poison. That song just reminds me of being over at relatives houses, playing in the driveway with that song blaring from various older cousins’ car as they sat and drank beer on the front lawn and porch.

Best summer of my life? Haha, well I hope that hasn’t happened yet! As for song during it… oh gosh. My mind is blanking and the first actual summer song I’ve thought of is…. “I Hope You Dance” – Lee Ann Womack.

There are two songs that I can’t coose between. They are Must be doin’ somethin’ right by Billy Currington, and Come a Little Closer by Dierks Bentley. Both are country songs, and normally thats not what I listen to, but I LOVE these songs. They are on my summer play list.

I’m not very original but it was the Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams the summer I was 17. I guess that was the last summer before real life kicked in.

“What was your favorite song during the best summer of your life”
It had to be The Power Of Love by Huey Lewis and The News. The Summer I first fell in love it was all over the radio. Plus, I have always found Huey Lewis to be one of the sexiest artists around. 😎
