I’m listening to Bruce today – and as I listen to Thunder Road for the two dozenth time today, I think if I can write books with the sort of gut level appeal of lyrics like:
Show a little faith there’s magic in the night
You ain’t a beauty but hey you’re alright
Oh and that’s alright with me
You ain’t a beauty but hey you’re alright
Oh and that’s alright with me
I might just make it in the world.
I don’t need to be important. I don’t need to be seminal. But I want to write things that make people *feel* things.

Well then, you’ve definitely got it made because you always make me feel. There are more than a few of your books that promise an emotional wallop for me each and every time. Second Chances, Touch of Fae, all the Petal books. Man. Doesn’t matter how many times I’ve read them. Pretty great stuff, girl.

Mmmm. How’d you manage to key in on my absolute favorite lines from a favorite song?
As always, you rock.

That’s an admirable goal and I think you’ve achieved it – at least for me.
