Question Sunday

Ask em if you’ve got em!

Angie asks: Is there some place where there is a comprehensive list of all your books?
Yes there is: https://www.laurendane.com/books/ My bookshelf at my website 🙂

IP says: I know they are not coming any time soon, but I really hope that Wilhelm’s book won’t be the last in the Phantom Corps series. I really loved those books and it would be nice if we could revisit some of the old characters – it’s like meeting old friends!

The nice thing about the Federation Chronicles is how big the world is. It’s full of possibilities and timelines and stories. It’s something I can go back to and approach from so many directions I can’t see it being over in the same way other series are.

Cindy asks: Can’t wait to get me hands on your new books in 2013. Any insider info you and get us? Just a little tease?

So much going on in 2013! Let’s see: January is the trade paper issue of Beneath the Skin, February is the next Bound By Magick – GOING UNDER. It’s Gage and Molly’s story. The post-Magister reality is a dark one as humans reel from the revelation of all the Others and the Others reel from so much death of their loved ones. Human supremacist groups, on the rise in Heart of Darkness and Chaos Burning are now far worse and far more violent. Molly is a witch who comes to Owen to help with their PR campaign as nationwide, city, state and national government attempts to deal with the Others. Lots of crazy stuff going on. Lots of danger! March is LOST IN YOU, the next Petal book featuring Beth Murphy and her older brother’s best friend, Joe. Joe has returned to Petal to take care of an ailing parent and to try to mend some fences his former bad boy behavior tore up. He’s survived a lot in three tours in Iraq, but Beth is something he can’t fight. April is LUSH, the third Delicious novel featuring Mary Whaley and super hot, dirty rockstar drummer, Damien Hurley. Lots of food and music in this one. Oh and hot sex! In June, the mass market release of Laid Bare. In August it’s Unconditional – a new Cascadia Wolves book featuring Josh, the Enforcer of Pacific and Michelle, a woman who is in Portland on a missing persons case. And someone he’s got a past with. September is the trade paper issue of LOST IN YOU and a new chapter in the Visits to Petal (working on that now). October is Drawn Together, the last Brown Siblings and Raven’s story. I’m not revealing who her hero is just yet, but in Drawn Together, readers will finally understand why Raven is the way she is. November is the last Bound By Magick book – still working on the title. It’s Helena and Faine’s book and deals with the extreme tensions and escalation between the anti Other movement and the Others, who while they are trying to find a non violent way out, have drawn their line in the sand and are defending themselves. December I have THREE releases – the trade paper issue of GODDESS WITH A BLADE, the digital release of BLADE TO THE KEEP, the next Rowan book and the release of a futuristic duology I’m in with Megan Hart featuring my short novel, LAND’s END. It’s a mash up between Mad Max/Firefly/The Gunslinger.

Carol says: In TART when Todd opens the door to greet Jules with Alexander in his arms…were you giving us a sibliminal message as to who his biological father is when you said they were wearing “matching grins”???? I know it is not important who the bio dad is, but after reading Laid Open and reading how Ben feels I sort of hoped that he was the biological father.

Truly it wasn’t a clue – they were both just smiling big at Jules. To be honest *I* don’t even know who Alexander’s biological father is. I’ve made a choice not to think on it because like you say, it’s not important who the bio father is, both Todd and Ben are Alexander’s dad.

Blanche asks: Might there be, somewhere down the road a story for Miles? He really is such a neat kid and I realize he has a lot of growing up to do but it would be very cool if after he did grow up he got a story! 🙂

I’d never say never, but right now he’s fifteen! Maybe in several years if I want to revisit with a whole new generation of Browns (and thank you, I love Miles too)

Christine asks: Can you give us any information about Josh’s story in Unconditional?

Unconditional features Josh, the Enforcer of Pacific and Michelle, a cop from Roseburg (small town south of Portland) who is working a missing persons case. She’s also a witch who happens to be Josh’s high school sweetheart. He disappeared when he went to college, never coming back to town, cutting her off totally. He never knew she was a witch and he never told her he’d been bitten and changed in his first month at college. They come together on her missing persons case and sparks fly!

What about Cal and Mary’s brother Ryan. Will he get his own story?

Right now it’s not in my plans, but like I said above, I never say never because I love Ryan and he’s a fun character 🙂

Shelann asks: Do you have a update and/or possible release date on either ther Cascadia or De LaVega series?

Yes, in August, UNCONDITIONAL will release as a Cascadia Wolves book (just above I give some details). My schedule is packed for 2013 (as of now I have 12 releases with another possible) so I’m not adding anything else until 2014. The story/world of the de La Vegas shifts dramatically in the Bound By Magick books (the series ends next November) so there will be more, just not until 2014 or 2015.

I loved, loved, loved Tart. It was funny and sexy and emotional and gut-wrenching. I loved to watch Jules grow into her own in this book. Thank you so much for your hard work this year. I know it can’t be easy to write so many books in one year. Your fans appreciate you!

Lauren ~ I have read (and re-read) a lot of your books, You simply a Fabulous Writer. Thank you for answering a question that I have long wanted an answer to. I am Glad you are continuing to write and and add new stories to the Cascadia Wolves and the De LaVega Cats but sad to learn there will be no more Cherchez Wolves. Do you have a update and/or possible release date on either ther Cascadia or De LaVega series? 😆
