Ask em if you’ve got em!

I’ll answer a question I’ve received more than once – Will Goddess With a Blade ever go to print? I’m so excited to be able to answer YES! GWAB will come out in trade paper in December of next year. The follow up book will also be coming out in print in 2014 🙂

Melanie asks: Where do you think you’ll head after Delicious, onto Levi’s brothers?

Not for a while. I just turned in a series proposal with an all new set of characters, set in Seattle. Also contemporary romance. More details if my editor wants the series! Eventually though I’ll get around to writing some books for the Warner men.

And Cindy asked this one too More Brown family novellas, becuase I totally down with that.

I may do some self published novellas following up with the couples we’ve met in the Brown Siblings books, yes. But most likely not until 2014 at the earliest. My schedule is jam packed through early 2014 right now so I just don’t have the time to write anything else.

Also, when you’re starting a series how far out do you plan or outline. It depends on the series. With the Brown Siblings, I honestly just wrote Laid Bare and even that one went its own way! It wasn’t supposed to be a permanent menage, LOL. I knew I’d want to do stories for the brothers, but as I went along, that’s when I started to learn enough to know who I’d wanted to write about and what their stories would be. Other times I have a basic idea of what each book in a series will be up front. I usually opt for something looser though and get more specific as I go. My writing process is more organic so it’s hard to know my characters until I start writing the book.

Ok, one more, I’m loving books on tape/iPod lately and I’m wondering if we’ll see more of yours in audio format, is that something that’s in the works? All my Harlequin books (my novellas with Spice and my books with Carina) have gone to audio. I don’t own the rights for audio for most of my books so I’m dependent on the publisher selling those rights. I do know of a deal in the words for one of my series, but I can’t give any details just now. And I learned recently that the audio rights for the Cherished duology have been sold, but I don’t know any details more than that.

Kim asks: I love the Cherchez books will there be more? t always makes me happy that the books and these characters are so enjoyed! Unfortunately I don’t write for that publisher any further and the process of taking it elsewhere and having it split between two publishers takes more time than I really have to give. At this point in time I’m finished with the series.

Christine asks: Since technically the Bainbridge Series is not about the Brown Series charcters will we find out about Cope and Ella’s baby?
You will see a glimpse of a very pregnant Ella at Gillian and Adrian’s wedding and then of their child and of Ella as a mother in Raven’s book.

Danielle asks: Are there any plans for new cat books?
Yes, I’ll get back to the de La Vegas – most likely in 2014. Next year with Samhain I’ve got a new Petal book and a new Cascadia book.

Lots of questions about the possibility of update novellas for this or that couple/book/universe! First, I’m always so happy when readers want more of a certain couple or storyline. Love you all for it! The answer is dependent on many factors. If I have a story to update with – first and foremost. A novella is short, yes, but it still needs a story. Something worth writing more than a day in the life (though I do bonus chapters which are closer to glimpses of a couples’ life). Second, I have to have the time for it. As it stands right now, my writing schedule is booked through mid August of next year and I want to take several months to work on a secret project. So I don’t really have the time to do any next year if they’re not already on my schedule. All that said, I do have plans to do update novellas here and there as time goes on. Some will be with a publisher and some will be self published.

Robbye asks: Finished Laid Open (really enjoyed it) and was wondering about the dynamic of Erin, Ben and Todd. Will Todd always be the more dominant of the two men? Characters are who they are, just like in real life. Todd and Ben are dominant in their own ways. There’s some switching that happens between the two as you’ve seen throughout the series and I expect that will continue.

    Hi

Just finished reading your Cascadia Wolves and de La Vega Cats series and loved them both. I’m happy there is going to be a new wolf book. 🙂

Are there any plans for new cat books?

    Thanks
