QUESTION SUNDAY!

After a bit of an absence – Question Sunday is back! These are some of the questions I’ve received at my loop, or via mail over the last few weeks. If you have more, ask away in the comments!

Christine asks:

Now that we have met all of Gillian’s friends will they comprise the characters for the Tart Series? Is the First book Mary or Jules I know you mentioned it but I can’t remember. Also you gave that that little hint about Cal and Jules is that how you still intend to
proceed?

The Delicious novels will start with Sway, which will be Daisy’s story. It’ll be in the Cherished duology with Maya Banks out in August ’12. And then Tart in November ’12 – which is Jules, Cal and Gideon’s story. The next one will be Mary’s book and I’ll close the series with Raven’s story.

Will we get to see I hope, everyone from the Brown Series periodically in the Tart Series?

The preparations for Adrian and Gillian’s wedding will be in Sway and the wedding itself in Tart so yes definitely you’ll be seeing the Browns. Gillian is in this circle of longtime friends the series will be about so she’ll be in the books and where she is, you’ll see Adrian.

Now I know you mentioned you are going to write Raven’s book. Will she be part of the Tart Series? Or just a book that comes out?

Yes, hers will be the last in the series.

Can you share any storyline for for Rising Darkness yet or who the characters are?

I just got the blurb for it!

From the “always fabulous Lauren Dane”* comes her new novel of a treacherous family legacy, a temptation just as dangerous, and an evil so depraved it can only be spoken of in whispers…

The life of Lark Jaansen, hunter in Clan Gennessee, has been shaped by violence and unrest—and it defines her future. Well-trained and resilient, she’s met her militaristic match in Simon Leviathan, a warrior not of this world. Locked in mutual admiration, and a desire so hot it burns, Lark and Simon have something else in common: they love the dark, and as a shadow is cast over their world, they’re each coming into their own.

A mysterious war has been waged among the Others. As witches and humans turn against each other, as faes retreat in fear, and as vampires rise, Lark and Simon discover that an unseen force is behind it. A single, hungry entity older than recorded history has returned to gorge on the magick of his victims. He is the Magister, nothing less than the end of time. Finding him is Lark and Simon’s first hope. Surviving him is their last.

So we’ll meet Simon in Heart of Darkness but Lark will be a new character. The world gets pretty dark in this one

Can you tell us any information yet about what Beneath the Skin will be about?

Yep! Beneath the Skin is Gibson de La Vega’s book. This one will focus on the shifter politics more than in Revelation. In Beneath the Skin we’ll learn about Gibson’s backstory and how he came to be the Bringer for the jamboree. His heroine is also a shifter but not someone he’d ever expect to be imprinting on – and the politics of the past will come to play as danger in Boston grows for Gibson and Mia 😉

I also got a few emails asking when the print release of ONCE AND AGAIN will be:

We’re working on that. Usually Samhain print books release 10 months to a year after the digital release. It’s looking like September/October ’12 at this point.

Oriela asks: I read Ascension as well as Fire and Rain a few months ago is there any chances we will be seeing Ryan and Phillip in any upcoming books? Either together or apart?

At this point, I’m done with the Cherchez books. I loved the world very much and those characters as well – and I love that the books are so loved by readers too!! But the complication involved in having a series at two different publishers eats up a lot of time and energy and I just don’t have enough of either right now. I’d love to give Skye and Phillip their HEAs but given my schedule and time commitments, I can’t see it as something I can do.

Thanks. Just brings my anticipation level up as we wait for each new release. Especially can’t wait for Gibson’s book and the start of the Tart series

I just read Never Enough this past weekend and LOVED IT!!!

I was actually going to ask if you were FINALLY thinking about writing Raven’s story. I’m so glad that the Brown’s aren’t finished yet! 🙂 I will miss them when you are done with them, so hopefully you will write a fun novella to catch up!!
