Today’s guest is the lovely, wonderful and talented Vivian Arend!

Holidays—that chance to kick back, take it easy, and drink as many fruity alcohol-laced concoctions as we can. Right?

I wish.

Lauren’s got the right idea- and I’m still trying to follow her example and figure out the “relax and take it easy” part of the holiday deal. For the past umpteen years, anything involving the words ‘holiday’ and ‘travel’ has meant my feet were going to be involved. Whether stuffed into snowshoes, ski boots, hiking shoes or water shoes, the relaxing part comes at night when my head finally hits the pillow (made out of extra clothing bundled together).

Wilderness anyone?

My husband and I have traveled over the Rockies, along the Pacific and Atlantic coasts, and down the Yukon River. When the kids arrived, we hauled them along. Even when we did make it to Hawaii we took a side trip along the Napali Coast to Kalalau Valley. If you watched ‘The Perfect Getaway’, you’ve seen the location we made it back to, although our version was sans the psychos.

In spite of most of my adventures being breathtaking instead of relaxing, I still love them—the thrill of getting caught in the kayak on the Pacific Ocean. Lost in the back woods of Wales. Still…

Someday, I’m going to go to a place with cabana boys, and they won’t be waving from beside someone else’s poolside as I hang glide past.

These elements have no desire to be tamed…

Pacific Passion, Book 1: Stormchild

As the new traveling doctor for the Pacific Inside Passage settlements, Matthew Jentry balances dual roles for his water-shifter people—caring for their health as a human-trained physician, and for their spiritual needs as a shaman.

Distractions of the female kind are not on his agenda, but his magical bloodline makes him a target for every marriage-minded woman within range. There’s something about the mysterious Laurin Marshall, though, that he finds far too enticing. It’s just as well that it’s time for him to move on.

Laurin thought she had perfected her guise as a mild-mannered teacher, but the sexual fireworks she and Matt touch off are threatening to blow her cover out of the water. Luckily it’s time for her to catch the boat to her next assignment.

When she discovers she’ll be sailing with Matt, she realizes there’s only one thing more dangerous than their unforgettable one-night stand—being trapped with him on a boat that gives “riding out the storm” a whole new meaning…

Warning: Contains strong sexual currents and powerful waves of desire that break down inhibitions. Recommended only for those able to navigate through extremely steamy situations, on land and at sea.

In honour of Pacific Oceans and watery fun, I’ve got 3 books to give away set on the coast. To enter to win, let me know what place you’d simply love to go for an ADVENTURE holiday. Because the Cabana boys are busy…

I’ve always wanted to boat down the Amazon. The thought sort of freaks me out (I mean there are lots of scary creatures there!) but for some bizarre reason that’s been my fantasy adventure for a long time.

😀 Well, if I weren’t so lazy, I would definitely envy your holidays even more than I do!

Where would I like to go for an adventurous holiday? Does driving on the wrong side of the road count as adventurous? If so, I’d love to spend a couple of weeks driving on Scotland, looking for out of the way ruins to explore.

Last February my husband & I stayed on the North Shore of Oahu. He did all of the adventure stuff while I stayed in the shade reading. I think I would like to go back and learn to surf like he did. Believe me, THAT would be an adventure (and probably suicide LOL).

    *waves hello to Vivian*

I would love to do a safari in Africa. And, definitely visit Victoria Falls while I was in the country. The only downside is that I’m not good in the heat, so my backup is the Scottish Highlands for winter sport-type activities.

I would love to go to Iceland. I have been to the Big Island of Hawaii and I loved the lava fields there. So Iceland would be my choice.

My first choice is a cruise and my husband’s choice would be a cruise to Alaska; why not?
My second choice is England; my husband’s mother came from there so did my grandfather.

I’ve always wanted to visit the Great Barrier Reef in Australia even with all the poisonous octopi and other creatures in the water. And the sharks.

Adventure… well i am not very adventurous, I leave that to my stories 🙂 But if I got up enough (money and gumption) to do it, I would like to either backpack through Europe, or go on safari in Africa.

I backpacked the Napoli Coast when I was in college. It was the best adventure vacation ever. Sleeping on the beaches if Hawaii instead of a hotel was freaken beautiful. Next adventure I am thinking Brazilian rainforest.

I am not very adventuresome, that is why I read. LOL If I did, however, have the chance it would have to be Alaska. As a child, my family had a chance to move there, but my mother decided it would be to cold. I have always wondered what it would have been like to grow up there. How would my life be different, who I would have met, the things I would have done and who I would be today. Yes, it would definitely be Alaska.

For my adventure I’d have to be 18 or 19 again, find a hot lover and journey through the woods of Washington State. Even though I’ve never been there. And to find a log cabin, build a fire, and make passionate love all night and day long………
