Occasionally I try to answer some questions that crop up over and over (so if you have one, now’s the time to ask it!) I’m going to take on a few I’ve gotten lately:

1. I’ve just finished reading REVELATION – will there be more and when?

My plan is to write Gibson’s book next. I have been working on his storyline and the proposal for his book will be one I write in the next week or so. The witches thing, you’ll see more of in my upcoming paranormal romance series for Berkley Sensation – Bound By Magic. The books will be set in the very rigidly organized world of clan witches (not Klan!). Gibson’s book will lean more toward the shifter end of things.

2. (Related to 1) Will you be writing any more wolves?

Yes. I would love to do Akio’s story, as well as Dave. It’s all a matter of time.

3. Will you be writing a book for Adrian and will you put him with Raven?

I sent the proposal for As Is to my agent this week. All I’m going to say for now is that the woman I put Adrian with will deserve him. Beta loved the proposal and if my editor does and buys it, I’ll share more details…

4. Will you be writing any more Cherchez Pack books?

I want to, I really do. But this is also about time. I do like to revisit old series characters, but for the time being I’ve put it on the list of “things I’d like to do when I have time”

5. Will you be doing any more books with Megan Hart?

I’d wager, yes, LOL. We loved writing Taking Care of Business and No Reservations – but she’s a busy lady and so am I so it’s about finding the time to do a joint project again. She’s doing a holiday novella for Leah and Brandon though, for Carina!

Please feel free to ask more questions! I’ll add them here as I go

Mary wants to know about The Chases and the Federation books

Chases: Just this week I sent a proposal for Nathan’s book, called Once Bitten, to my editor at Samhain. So yes, there will be more (or I hope so, she hasn’t said if she wants it yet). I want to write a Valentine’s novella for one of the Chase couples, but the deadline would hit right around when I have two other books due, so it might have to be in the spring instead.

Federation: Another proposal I’m currently putting together is for CAPTIVATED, the last book in the Phantom Corps mini-series. This one will be a menage featuring Vincenz, Julian and a woman you meet at the end of Mesmerized, Hannah.

What about Wilhelm Ellis?

I would love to do a book or a storyline for him. He’s got a great backstory and I adore him. But it’s all going to be about sales and that jazz.

What digital publishers other than Samhain do I need to scour for your books?

I write for Berkley Heat (and next year also Sensation)
Carina Press (as of October 25)
Harlequin Spice -What Happens in Vegas and What Happens in Vegas…After Dark
Black Lace – With Megan Hart
Whispers (a short novella entitled Sleight of Hand)
Samhain
and I used to write for Ellora’s Cave (if you buy these, I suggest using their site as the ebooks they sell at Amazon are far more expensive than at their site)

What I want to know is do you have any say in what your covers look like?

It depends on the publisher as they all have different processes. But essentially they all seek my input – what do my characters look like, what mood or symbols are important, etc. Sometimes they listen to me and sometimes it goes in an entirely different direction.

Also, what is your biggest pet peeve when you read books?

I can forgive almost anything if the characters suck me in. One thing I absolutely cannot abide is rape as titillation. I do not read any books with rape (and that includes so called forced seduction) because I hate them. Rape is not sexy. Period.

Also in BDSM books, I steer clear of humiliation as it does nothing for me.

I’m wondering, will we learn more about Wilhelm Ellis? Will he get his own story, or a secondary line in a future book at some point? He’s so mysterious and intriguing…

You usually end up with beautiful covers. I have a Kindle but usually buy your books because your covers are a thing of beauty. Also your covers actually resemble your characters which is awesome. (big pet peeve when the book is about a tall red head and the cover is blond etc)

What I want to know is do you have any say in what your covers look like?

Also, what is your biggest pet peeve when you read books?
