TGIF!

It’s Friday and now of course, in addition to mom being sick, my oldest kiddo is also sick, home today with a high fever. I knew it was pretty bad because this boy does NOT nap. Like never. He didn’t even nap when he was a baby. So when he slept on and off for most of the day, I admit I had momma worry over it. Of course the constant fever part I had, broke in the night last night so I just have hot and cold flashes and of course the sniffles, eye watering, sore throat and exhaustion. Wheeee!

Otherwise, I’ve been writing. A lot. I realized some stuff about Daniel as I wrote yesterday. Like big character stuff and suddenly this thing he does made total sense.

No booktalk today I’m afraid. Until this book is done, I’ll be writing like a fiend. Gah. After that I have to organize my house, get my schedule together for the next book and promotion schedules for the stuff I have coming out, see friends I have neglected terribly since June and make sure unanswered emails are answered. Between the summer, the road trip, redoing the kids’ rooms and health issues, I feel like I need to sleep for a week when I finish, LOL.

But it’s Friday so I don’t have to get up at six tomorrow morning. I plan to wake up and fix a huge breakfast, spend some time with my family and then get back to writing. I’m in the big push now. I need to have the first draft done by next weekend so I have the time to get it all polished up before it’s due.

Planning some fun guest blog entries from a variety of writers who will be filling in on Wednesdays for Writerly type posts about craft and the industry so stay tuned for that!

Have a good weekend and I hope you both feel better soon. It’s no fun when mom and children are sick at the same time.
