Tuesday and I think I wanna give books away

And what better opportunity than it being Tuesday? Okay so two people I absolutely love – Megan Hart and Anya Bast are having book releases in January. In fact, Megan’s book, Stranger, is shipping from Amazon now!

Stranger by Megan Hart

Blurb: I pay strangers to sleep with me. I have my reasons….
But they’re not the ones you’d expect.

For starters, I’m a funeral director taking over my dad’s business. Not exactly the kind of person you’d expect to fork over cash for the lust and urgency only live skin-to-skin contact can create. Looking at me, you wouldn’t have a clue I carry this little secret so close it creases up like the folds of a fan. Tight. Personal. Ready to unravel in the heat of the moment.

Unsurprisingly, my line of work brings me face-to-face with loss. So I decided long ago that paying for sex would be one of the best (and arousing) ways to save myself from the one thing that would eventually cut far too deep.

But Sam was a mistake. Literally. I signed on to “pick up” a stranger at a bar, but took Sam home instead. And now that I’ve felt his heat, his sweat and everything else, can I really go back to impersonal?

Let’s just hope he never finds out about my other life….

Anya Bast’s Witch Heart

Blurb: With the immense powers of an earth witch, Claire isn’t destined to be a demon’s handmaiden. Yet this has been her fate since she was six, when her warlock mother brought her to Eudae. Now as an adult, she’s about to discover her true power—and how far others are willing to go to take it away…

As part of a mission with the Coven, Adam Tyrell rescues Claire from her enslavement—and finds himself immediately taken with the beautiful witch. But this charming playboy soon learns that it’s easier to steal Claire from demons than win her heart, for her life as a servant has ravaged her spirit. But with Adam determined to protect her from the warlocks who want to harness her magick for evil, Claire’s resistance starts to give way—and they find themselves in the heat of danger, surrendering to the lure of their deepest desires…

Okay so this one will be simple with two readers chosen – one will will Stranger, one will win Witch Heart. All you need to do to enter is reply to this post with three favorite romances of 2008. Easy Peasy! I’ll choose a winner on New Year’s Day at noon pacific! They’ll be shipping directly from Amazon.

Good luck!

I loved The Duke of Shadows. And I discovered all of Kresley Cole’s books… Pamela Clare as well… um… Blue Eyed Devil. The Lost Duke of Wyndham was great too. Oh Hostage to Pleasure. (I’m indecisive) – and yes, I LOVED Undercover. And I “don’t like” scifi, which makes it extra special.

🙂 Thanks for having the giveaway, Lauren, and happy Tuesday. Good luck everyone!

The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter
The Beast in Him by Shelly Laurenston
To All A Good Night anthology with Donna Kauffman, Jill Shalvis, and HelenKay Dimon.

I would’ve listed all three of Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld books, but figured I would spread the love among some of the other authors I enjoyed this year, though it was really hard to just pick three. *sigh*

Okay so I had more than three, but here are three of them…

    1. Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon

2(+). Last Wolf Watching by Rhyannon Byrd (actually I loved all 3 bloodrunners she put out this year!)

    3. Tempted by Megan Hart (Oh Alex.. yum yum!)

And yes I am reading Undercover. I’m on Chapter 21 and loving it. I would have never thought I’d pick up a futuristic but I thought – I like Lauren’s writing so what they hay… and it is great!

I have to agree with the others…(3) is seriously HARD!

    1) Any of the Sookie Stackhouse. I for whatever reason thought the TV Series may have jinxed me on it.

WRONG the whole series of books are addictive and my friends WHO pushed me into reading it were right.

Fab and Eric is the BOMB!(though Bill isn’t shabby either… he well, just made some bad judgements along his way)

    2) Dead after Dark

    3)Hotter than Hell

    🙂

Oh huge congrats on the releases! I have them on my wishlist already!

This is one reason why this year i’m now making a list of everything I read. I’m so bad at remembering titles and all! Too, I want to add that so many reads are special in themselves that they are unique and there’s so many I love. So I’m mostly putting out three of the recent reads I really enjoyed!
1). THE WICKED GAMES OF A GENTLEMAN by Jillian Hunter. I discovered her books this year and love this Boscastle series of her. All bad boys!
    2) HALFWAY TO THE GRAVE by Jeaniene Frost (Gosh I love that vamp Bones!) And I’m hooked on Urban Fantasy too!
3). TRIAD by Lauren Dane. I so remember when Barb mentioned this book in a chat early of 2008 and I never looked back! Its one of those that’s going to be a annual re-read!
