Enforcer Contest – Cause I Wanna!

2008

Yesterday what should appear on my doorstep but copies of Enforcer! So I thought I’d run a contest to give one away.

Enforcer is the first book in my Cascadia Wolves series and it’s finally out in print!

Blurb: Nina Reyes is a just barely reformed grifter who has left her past and her criminal record behind. That is until her brother shows up on her doorstep with some rogue werewolves out to kill him.

Nina gets drawn into the web of intrigue further when Lex Warden, Cascadia Pack’s Enforcer, comes to her for help and she ends up needing his protection.

There’s missing viral agents, the werewolf mafia, death threats, arson and a whole lot of scorching sex and acerbic wit between them.

Welcome to the Northwest and Casadia Pack…

Since today is Halloween and my kids are already begging to go out trick or treating – how about something quick and dirty? Respond here with your favorite halloween costume or memory and I’ll choose a winner at random from the comments at 4 pm pacific (7 eastern) today.

Easy Peasy! Good luck!

I’m actually not big on Halloween, but I will never forget my favorite costume from childhood. My great-grandmother, whom I was lucky enough to have in my life until I was about 10 years old, was an expert with a sewing machine. She made me the most beautiful Bo Peep costume — pink taffeta with puffy sleeves and blue ruffled apron and bonnet. I felt like such a princess in it, and it was probably the first Halloween I wanted to go out and show off my outfit.

For the first Halloween after we got married, I went as a pirate (pirate!) and my husband went as… me in college. He wore a fishnet top, a stretch denim dress, fishnet stockings, and *his* combat boots because mine were just a little too small for him. And, of course, the shade of lipstick I wore in college. He got far more cheers than my pirate outfit did, though I did get declared to be pirate captain once additional pirates started showing up so I can’t have been too bad.

my fav costume wasn’t mine it was my bf and something we threw together cause her mom felt she was too old to go trick or treating. She had pink footed pj’s, a motor cycle helment covered in aluminum foil and antennas on top. We bought some face paint and painted her face and arms green. it was da bomb as we used to say long ago. I loved this alien costume. Wish we had thought up something equally fantastic for me lol. But I was a witch that year.

I don’t know if you remember from the Carol Burnett Show when she did the skit of the silent film star Nora Desmond. Which was a take off of Gloria Swanson. So I was Nora Desmond.

When I was in high school I was in the marching band and every year at Halloween, we let the parade of trick or treaters through the town to the Middle School for costume judging. My favorite costume was also my best friends. She went as a kleenex box. She marched through town in the leotard and when she arrived, her Mom had a giant box decorated with wallpaper and tissue paper sticking out the top.

My favorite Halloween memory is growing up in La Grande, Oregon — it frequently snowed on Halloween, so I remember a number of years when I went trick or treating in my witch costume while wearing my snowbooks and a ski-type parka over my costume.

I begged my mom every year to move somewhere warmer!

    🙂 Happy Halloween!

    Michelle

I’m cheating. It’s not a costune I remember but the fact that we used to decorate our front lawn to the nth degree. Tombstones, bats on strings that flew.

One year my brother built a coffin and my other brother hid in it, popping up to freak out the neighborhood kids. We hid a walkie talkie in tree and spoke in a ghostly voice when people walked by…

    It was a big deal!

My favorite time of the year is Halloween because my girlfriend and her husband and kids come over. We take turns walking around with the kids and handing out candy! My favorite costume was when I went to a party many years ago dressed up like Buckwheat from The Little Rascals!

I love how fun Halloween used to be when my boys were young. Decorating the house and lawn was a weekend project, picking out their costumes, pumpkin carving, and baking cookies, was another weekend project. So much laughter and tons of pictures. Some of my favorite memory days were at Halloween.

When my boys were younger our family dressed as superheroes. DH was Batman, I was CatWoman, one boy was a young batmana and the other was superman. It was lots of fun!

When I was in junior high school I was a hobo – I raided my Dad’s closet and used a rope on a pair of his paint stained pants. I actually went outside and made mud to make mudstains on my face.

The junior high-school principal sent me home for the day! 🙂

I went as a clown to school one year. I had my face painted, wearing the clown clothes with the wild hair. It took forever to have my face done before school. But I will never forget it.
