No, it’s not just your boys, Lauren. My three are exactly the same about not being able to find things. Yet they’re always exactly where I tell them.

“It’s to the right of the bread box on the counter”

    “No, it’s not.”

So I get up, walk upstairs, and point to “it” exactly where I said it was – to the right of the bread box on the counter. Multiple times a day, by all three of them.

Must be a guy thing. LOL I don’t have to worry about the peeing thing though – I’ve trained ’em all to sit down. Which they’re really good about considering technically as the only woman in a houseful of males, they’d have an argument about me ‘leaving the seat down.’ Not going to let them in on that little tidbit though.

By the way, I have to tell you how much I love your vlogs! Keep ’em up!

Will it make you feel any better if I say it’s not just boys? I’ve only got girls and what you just described fits 3 of them to a T! Annoys me when they won’t listen to me.

Happy Anniversary! (Early, I know) Hubby and I will be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary next week and at times I think of that and it boggles my mind that I’ve been with him half my life. I remind me regularly that he’s a very lucky lucky man. ROFL

Opps…that should have been I remind him, not me. *G*

LMAO – My hubby is the same when it comes to finding things. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve asked him if he’s looking for something with his eyes closed, because it’s right there in front of him. *sigh*

Maybe it has something to do with the whole hunter/gatherer thing. If his boxer shorts would scamper around and make the search interesting, or if the mayo would arm itself with some smelly cheese—make the search more of a hunt? 😀

Don’t even get me started on the toilet seat! Last time I fell in and yelled at hubby, he had the nerve to shout, “You women drivers…don’t you know you’re supposed to look back before you reverse?”

Happy anniversary Mad – ours is also next week (married for 8 and together for 11). Our husbands have something in common—they’re both lucky men, and told that often

    😉

Please are you living in my house b/c that’s what goes on o daily basis. I could give them the most specific of instructions and if something is in front of it or covering it’s not found. This happens all of the time. No ability to look beyond the tip of their nose. With my little guy I am trying to break the cycle. I guess I’ll know in another 10 years

I was grinning all the way thru your video, Lauren. I was one of 4 sisters, and had twin boys, so I now survive in a male household, and it is sometimes like living with pod people. My mom says I was destined to raise male children, since I am the most patient and calm of all my sisters, and turning them into functioning adults with manners and common sense has been the most exhausting project that I’ve ever undertaken.

In our house it’s known as a ‘boy look’, every time someone says they can’t find something I’ll ask did you have a boy look or a girl look? LOL
I’ve said it so often now they all know what I’m talking about. The girls get better with age, the boys don’t. I think it might have something to do with the female mind being able to think of more than one thing at a time.

Bwahahahaha!! You are living my life. The peeing thing gets better. The rest… yeah, not so much.
