Oh And A Contest!

I planned to post a contest yesterday but had a headache of epic proportions and was pretty well debilitated until the early evening when I could move without blinding pain or nausea.

So I’ll do one today anyway.

Post here. Tell me your favorite couples in books and why you like em. Easy. I’ll choose a winner at 6:30 pm pacific so keep an eye if you enter and if I’ve got my author copies by then, I’ll send it right away.

My favorite couple in a book is Anita Blake & Jean Claude in Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series. The reason is that in the beginning of the series, it seemed that they would never get together because she was so very anti-vampire. Because she finally gave in, she became a much stronger person for it. He always seems like the only one who can get her to do things that she never knew she wanted to do.

I just finished reading The Vampire Queen’s Servant by Joey W. Hill, and I loved the pairing between Jacob and Lyssa. I liked that they had a link that neither one really understood. They even seemed to fight it at times. But they were eventually unable to fight the attraction of Jacob’s past life interactions with Lyssa.

I really like Buttercup and Wesley in The Princess Bride. They have to overcome so much to get together, from class differences to kidnapping and even death!

I think it has to by Eve Dallas and Roarke. as the series has gone on the relationship deepens and strengthens despite their ups and downs.

Glad you’re feeling better, migraines are a bitch, you have my sympathies

One of my favorite couples is Delcan and Tori from The Hunters series by Shiloh Walker. There is just something about a melding between shifters and vamps. 😆

Not sure if you’re familiar with the series but, one of my favorite couples is Damali Richards & Carlos Rivera from the Vampire Huntress Legend Series by L. A. Banks … I also like Clay & Elena from Kelley Armstrong’s books. I love vamps & wolfies … 😀

This is really hard but one of my favorite historical writers is Julie Garwood & one of my favorite couples is Duncan & Madalyne. She is has been through this terrible life but has only love and he has planned this terrible fate for her but she breaks down his defenses. And she also breaks down the defenses of every member of his family until everyone loves her. It’s one of my favorites and they have a memorable love story.

You know Lauren, I’ve found that I’ve fall close to ones I just read. I mean they are special in their own way with each book I’ve read. So this is really hard. But too I’m thinking of a historical since thats what I’ve been reading alot lately and that would be from ANNIE’S SONG by Catherine Anderson with ANNIE and ALEX. I think too because I connected so much with Annie as she was deaf and alot of the adjustements from then are what I dealt with even so long ago. A very emotional read too that was also healing.

Glad you doing a bit better today. I never dealt with that but I have seen others who had and agony sometimes. Thinking of you.

Favorite couple??? Alright if I have to chose just one–it would be Lily and Derek from On Thin Ice by Cherry Adair. This is because they are able to overcome major problems–mainly those caused by her dead husband and work through insecurities to be together.
