Looks outside, sees sunshine, my white peony bush is awash with giant blooms and the whole porch smells so lovely! Having two releases within a few days is a good thing, I’m not complaining about my luck! But it’s a lot of work too because I believe in both books so much and I want both to get attention and love, LOL. I’ve been doing some list mom days and some chats and I feel like I’ve been running and running for the last week or so that I’m only now poking my head outside and seeing the sun.

And well, really, since it’s been raining since I got back from Ohio and today is the first sunny day, I suppose it’s not that big a deal. My kids are all, “meh, yeah books, whatever, can we play dance dance revolution?” Have you guys played that? It’s a big hit round here and it kicks my butt but it’s very fun and even my nearly 3 year old gets into the act. It also has the added benefit of making them all very tired. I foresee lots and lots of DDR this summer.

I started writing what I’d thought might be good for a Spice brief but as usual, I can’t keep anything to 10K (which is why I haven’t subbed anything to them so far, LOL). I have to put it aside and finish Reading Between the Lines. I’m about halfway done now so I need to push through and finish so I can have most of July and August free to do whatever I want writing wise.

Okay, off to go pick up son number one from school. We’re walking today to take advantage of the sun!

I was so happy to see the sun today. We all went for a long walk to take advantage of it! Congrats on your two releases again. Take a moment to savor that achievement.

We drug out the DDR pad a few weeks ago for DS’s 13th Bday. It was pretty damn entertaining watching him and his video game buddies battle on that thing into the wee hours of the morning, hopped up on soda and Birthday cake.

Of course I was banished from the room during most of the fun – can you believe three teenage boys didn’t want a mom around watching? Geesh. I’ve got to sneak in his room sometime soon and have some play time with the games for myself. 😛

Gratz on the releases – can’t wait to read them!

Every time I see ‘spice briefs’ I get visions of tighty whiteys with hot peppers on them.

I’ve actually titled my outline for one “Peppers in my pants”

I can’t imagine writing a whole story in 10k. Maybe that’s because I’ve ALMOST hit 30k and am still not even close to finishing. 😛 I’m probably a third of the way done.

PS – yesterday AND today someone found our blog by searching “Lauren Dane – Ascension”. WOOT! 🙂

LOL Seeley! Yes it’s like that for me. But as it happens, I’ve abandoned it for a short. It won’t work. It wants to be longer.

Kate – wheee! That’s so cool

Ember – I’m glad they’re young enough to still want me to play video games with them.

Charli – yeah, well the rain is back now, LOL
