Thirteen Things I Do To Cheer Up

1. My husband (Yes, that’s what I mean and yep, it usually works like a charm. He’s very handy that way.)

2. Listen to 80’s music loud and sing to it (usually something especially fabulous like Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Psychedelic Furs, Go Go’s)

3. Eat chocolate

4. Read Welcome To Temptation

5. Read Naked in Death

6. Read Vaclav Havel’s Living In Truth

7. Watch The Matrix

8. Run through the sprinklers with my kids

9. Retail Therapy – shoes, books, purses or music

10. IM Megan or Anya

11. Eat egg rolls from my favorite Thai restaurant (shrimp ones, SO good!)

12. Make cookies with my kids

13. Snuggle with my husband and let him cheer me up

    Hubbies are god that way.

Also it’s hard to be sad when you’re singing “Rio” at the top of your lungs.

Mmmm egg rolls. There’s a cheery thought!

That’s great about the husband, Lauren.

And do me a favor. Tell Anya (I hope we’re talking about the same Anya), I read her to cheer me up. lol

That’s a nice list, but Matrix always depresses me for some reason! I love watching “Anne of Green Gables” the miniseries or “The Wedding Date” because Dermot M is soooooo ungodly studly in that movie.

I admire you for finding time to pounce the hubs with three kiddos, lol. I think I’d make use of that method a lot more if the youngest would nap and if the older ones weren’t so snoopy about what goes on behind our closed doors.

    Hugs,

    Anna J. Evans

IMing friends always makes me feel better, too. I’m going to be a good girl and not comment about number 1 (out loud at least) 😉

Husbands are so handy! Taking the dog for a walk always cheers me up. She always looks so happy racing about the reserve and exploring everything. It always makes me smile.

Chocolate, a good book, and snuggling with hubby–mine, not yours. *g*

Would your husband teach the Tour Manager a thing or two?

I write. And listen to loud Metallica. Those are my time-proven activities, although I think we might soon need to add “go for a bike ride” to my list.

    Happy TT!

chocolate. oh yes. its handy to have a husband who works on the shipping docks of a major designer chocolates producing and distributing plant.

reading and retail therepy work for me too. esp. books and writing supplies.

and music. tho for me it’s the seventies pop with some fifties and sixties rock. But I swear by Beethoven’s 9th especially the last movement–played loud to rattle the windows.

my TT was a Memorial Day Tribute to my Dad.
