I had one of those dolls, or rather, a very cheap knockoff version of her. My sister got one too. I used to think it was lame that we had to have the same presents but now that I have kids of my own, I see why.

    i completely understand wanting to buy your kids the same thing. unfornately mine are 6 years apart and that’s not always possible

    I know what you mean, Pam. My sons are 4 years apart but my 4 year old aches to be just like his big brother. My youngest is nearly 7 years younger than my oldest so she’s content to just look at her brothers and yoink their toys.

    Yeah, growing up, I and my sister were given the same kind of dresses and toys since parents and relatives were afraid to create a situation where we might fight over it.
