That the My Little Ponies wear swimsuits. Sparkleworks and Ranbow Dash are the only ones with the modesty to wear one piece suits. Pinkie Pie uses sunscreen.
This is where your life ends up when you have a 2 year old daughter. It’s My Little Ponies and Pokemon. Sigh.

My daughter, now 26 years old, had My Little Ponies. Now my granddaughter, 3 1/2 years, has them. They have stood the test of time! I don’t think the ones from the 80’s had swimsuits, however. Did they?
Other favs of my daughter were: Stawberry Shortcake (she has red hair, as does my daughter), and Carebears. We have lots of Carebears at our house…and my grandson likes them, too.
I see Holly Hobbie is back with a new look, too.

My daughter has Care Bears. She has Little People (The greatest Unisex toy ever, I think), and currently what does she play with? Her MacDonald’s toy Lightning McQueen car from the movie Cars…

The ponies are cute. At least you never have a shortage of finger sized hairbrushes, since they always come prepared with their own.
Barbie, Kelly, the Bratz, and now their various mutant cousins will soon fill your home with their multi-sized non interchangable pieces as well.
You have so much to look forward too!

LOL! Yeah. My husband got her this big box of tiny My Little Pony board books, which I am ordered to read several times over, fifty times a day. She’s quite bossy and I have *no* idea where it comes from.
My little pony came out after I was a girl so I never played with them. Plus, and I know this violates the girl code and all, but I never got into playing with horses. My sister did, oh man she had like thirty of them and played all the time. But I never saw the appeal.
She just burst in here holding her brother’s purloined gameboy, LOL. I’m waiting for his bellow once he realizes it’s gone.

My son, 29 on the 19th of June, (where does time go?) had He-man figures, G.I.Joes, and all the Dukes of Hazzard figures. He got a bunch of the He-man cartoons on DVD recently…so retro, now! He-he! My grandson is 7 and he loves all the “super heros”…especially, Batman, Superman and Spidey! Also, Spongebob. Ok not a superhero, but Parker loves him! grin

You mention Pokemon. *sigh*
When they first came out, I was SO against them. Thought all it was about was fighting.
Talk about the lesser of three evils. It is mucho better than Yugiho, Power Rangers or the (thank goodness) short lived Super Samurai Butts or whatever that forgettable show was.
Now I can name a whole bunch of the evolved form of Pokemon – I hear it enough. I kind of like Brock though. *snicker*
Now it’s Spongebob, Viewtiful Joe, Coconut Fred ( that’s LOL ) and Shaolin Showdown.
What ever happened to Jonny Quest and Space Ghost?
BTW – Lauren, do you know what happened to the blog Between The Sheets with the WriterBabes? It’s missing on blogger with an error code of 404 – not found. Did they discontiue it?
Thanks!
Sincerly,
Michele

My son, Shawn, loves Space ghost and has a T-shirt with him and it says: ‘Where’s my samitch?” on it. He has it since University days and refuses to part with it.
He also has Space Ghost cartoons on his computer. Star Wars characters are all over his office and when he had an appartment at University, I made him Superman print curtains for all the windows..heck, it was only $1, a yard then, And everyone on campus knew where he lived by the “cool curtains”. He had a big cut out of Princess Leha (sp) as you walked through the door.

Michele – Yes, I think the Writer Babes decided to drop the blog. Everyone was so busy that it didn’t get updated often enough. Because of my schedule being so insane I actually dropped out of the group but I’m pretty sure they’ll continue doing a newsletter though!
And yeah, I’m not so offended by pokemon anymore (although I must admit to not liking how the pokemon are captured and kept).
