  Ah you guys help me start off my day giggling.

The Christian Bale thing. (sighs) There is a man who needs some therapy. I mean really. Love me some Christian but…dude!

Megan, just watch, someone is work together all those Jensen Ackles soundbites for you one of these days. I wish I knew how!

The high school analogy for douche-y writers talking douche-y-less-ly is very acurrate!

I love that wee interview of Gerard, Lauren! Hearing that man swear makes my…self cleaning oven dance. (snorts)

Aww, you two have the same ringtone for each other? How cute!

I so wish I could win that dinner/lunch with you two but I are here in Toronto…where it’s currently -30 degrees celsius. You’re jealous, I know.

Oh, and is it sad that I recognized Dean screaming like a girl? Hee.

LOL, so glad to see a blog by you ladies this am. Thanks for the bleeping laugh! and yeah, I agree. Between SK trashing people and the freaking PAN (is it erotic? or erotic romance? or yuck, I don’t want those those images in my mind!) um, it’s been an interesting week!
    OK…back to writing!

    1st- LMAO
    2nd- Hold on a sec…still ROTFLMAO

    Ok…I think I have control.

(I know I have serious issue’s w/ the whole …, but I just broke myself from the need to ITALIC too much.- baby steps)

I would say I want to be one of you two when I grow up…but, well I think I may be older. An Aquarius like you Lauren, but well really soon (but not yet!) the um, um, well, 4 0 is coming.

Alright, I’m off the floor now, and still trying to remember when I got old. The kids tell me it was “back in the day”. Ha I’m making them a special batch of brownies w/ex-lax.

No names, but as I read something from a certain “man” in regards to what I’ve heard was a “Top Notch” read..it surprised me of his character.

I acutally did a Blog post around such a topic (not necc regarding that issue) but including it overall.

The title was “You’re Never too Big nor Rich…to be Kind and Gracious”

Part was about “him”, part curtailed the thought about C.B. and part was about a snub I myself recieved where basically I was told that though invited somewhere…I was to be seen not heard.

Uh, by the length of this post I’m sure you can see where that may be an issue for me. I may not be a BIG name someone…but I am the BOSS where I work, and I PLAY by the same Rules as my Employee’s! This was SELF enacted to show good faith. Matter a fact I engaged a ‘Commitee” of sorts that can supercede my vote, at any given time.

I have their backs…they have mine, in part because of the trust and respect we’ve all shown one another.

There is simply no excuse for the actions of some as of late.

I have read one book lately…that though the ideas were fantastic and original, I simply couldn’t get into it.

Did I blog about it? NO! I simply stayed Mum.

    Why, it was POLITE!!!

What happened to common sense manners?

Ok..but enough of that. RT !!!

I’m am DOING all that I can to clear a path at work…at home…and everywhere in between for the Pre-Convention Workshop as well as the convention itself. I’ve never been and heard such WONDERFUL things!!!

You two keep up those great LAUGHS and Attitudes and I hope to maybe meet you at RT.

    :)

Holy cow. Spew alerts, please! I’m cleaning the Diet Coke off my monitor. Sheesh!

I think my husband came in about 4 times to find out why I was laughing so loudly.

And I agree – he was a D-bag (even if I didn’t care for the book myself).

I didn’t listen to the CB tirade, but he’s apologized profusely for what happened. Read the report at http://news.yahoo.com/s/eonline/20090206/en_movies_eo/98799

I think he’s a great actor, and I think he’s a very intense sort of guy. And he owned up to what he did. So I hope the media gives him a break. :)

I’m glad to see his apology. It wasn’t all the F words, it was the utterly disrespectful and cruel tone he used with someone he had a great deal of power over.

Intensity aside, I don;t like people who threaten to harm anyone or use their power to belittle or humiliate subordinates. It’s more than intense, it’s a personal failing and I hope he works on it.

OMG…you two crack me up while making very valid and important points. I do think that just basic common courtesy and respect should have prevented these things from happening and yes, while everyone is allowed to have their opinion..there is time and place to voice them and possibly a public newspaper is not the best spot to do it.

Glad to hear about the CB apology.

I would love to go to RT, but unfortunately I am broke and I supposed as a semi-responsible parent…I might need to feed the darling kiddos. Although, the possibility for a dinner, lunch, coffee, or snack with you two…could make me reevaluate. (I am of course only kidding…these are the same people who are going to be in charge of me when I am old and feeble.)

    Happy belated birthday Lauren!!

I receive emails from a few yahoo writer email loops. I received some emails discussing how one famous successful writer bashed another famous successful writer. I’m not sure if this is the same thing that you found so disappointing recently, Lauren. But i was disappointed that this famous author, who I have immensely enjoyed, who has received flack in his own career at times did this.
    And this was my reply…
Writing may be a calling, a passion, etc, but it is also a profession. As with any profession you should act in a professional manner. And to me at least this means that there are opinions you express in public, and opinions you save to express with your close friends and family away from a public type forum. Writers bashing other writers’ books (or their personal lives, or their websites, etc…)….. publicly, is unprofessional.
As for the rest of your video blog this morning… you ladies always give me a good laugh.

  12. 12

I’m with you. I don’t see the point of doing it. I really don’t. Sure, I’m not “in love” with everyone and everything but I can’t even fathom the idea of going in public in behaving that way. Also, I’m not even sure my mind works that way. I’m far from Susie Sunshine but it never crosses my mind to go bash someone who pisses me off. The first thing I think to do is pick up the phone and moan and groan about it to my BFF. Its in their job description to have to put up with those moments.

Yes! Use your power for good.

Sadly, it seems this type of stuff is happening weekly as of late. OY

  13. 13

@Mandy: Yes, exactly, just like Superman! Use your powers for gooooood!
