Okay, I have to know… Do you write right there (same room as the video)? With the kids bothering you like they were? I have the same kind of set up–and three kids–and I can’t get a damn thing done. How, in God’s name, do you do it?
BTW, I’ve been eyeing the Vegas book for awhile now, so you know…
Tez – it’s the front room of my house, right as you walk in the door. I wish I had an office where I could retreat and no one would bug me! But it’s the coolest, darkest room in the house so I like to shove all that promo stuff aside and sit on it while I edit, read, etc.
Ember – yes. September 4 is their first day I believe. But they were in school until June 21 which is later than other kids so I suppose it’s an exchange.
Lauren, I’m amazed at any tasks moms can do while their kids are home–I can barely do things like put laundry into the dryer! And I quite enjoyed your post–felt right at home I actually avoid making phone calls during the day now–I inevitably end up having to say things like, “Uh, I’m so sorry, just a moment,” and then chasing down a running naked kid who’s screaming, “Gotta pott-eeeeeeee NOW!” It’s so difficult trying to sound as if you don’t live in bedlam!
Congrats on the new site…I love it already and have it book marked into my favorites!
So, why was your child…at this point I am assuming that it was your child…although you did send that text message to your husband…taking off their clothes? I can relate to this because my son who is now 13 never really liked to wear clothes and would still prefer…as long as it is just the family…to run around in his boxers and a t-shirt when he is at home.
