CAPA

So back in the days when I first started writing I remember seeing the CAPA nominations and thinking, “Wow, one of these days, I would so love to get a CAPA nomination.” And last year that dream came true and I won the CAPA for Taking Chase. So I was thrilled to be nominated this year as well.

Yesterday I won two CAPAs - and I’m honored. One for best contemporary romance of 2007 for Making Chase and one for best erotic paranormal romance for Fire and Rain.

Thank you to the Romance Studio for the honor and the awards and thank you to all my readers who continue to pick my books up. Yesterday was an exceptionally good day.

Wheee! 3K words yesterday and I’m really happy with what I did. I’ve cut most surfing on the web and where I used to not be able to write during the day, I’ve found lately I can work in at least a grand during the day around the wee monster’s schedule. THis is a new development but it enabled me to actually go to bed before midnight last night. Yay Sven! This challenge is helping me to flex my writerly muscles in using my time more wisely.

The bulk of yesterday was a funny but integral fight between Grace and Nina where they finally got each other. I love Nina, she wasn’t very nice the first part of the book so I had to sort of redeem her. And Grace isn’t as bold a character as Nina so the scene had to be done carefully but I do admit, I laughed out loud several times because Grace doesn’t let her bitch flag fly very often but she did with Nina. Anyway, it’s done and it works - I hope, LOL! And now on to labs and sexin and Councils of War, etc.

Got my edits on Wolf Unbound, which sort of works nicely as the two books are so closely tied in to the other.

Signing later today.

Got a very lovely recommended read from FAR for Fire and Rain! Yay and thank you, Contessa.

It’s freaking cold here but no frost this morning. Yay!

Gotta go and grab coffee. I’m in dire need.

Fire and Rain is Now Available! Oh and A PARTY!

The follow up to Ascension, Fire and Rain, is now available at Ellora’s Cave!

I love this world and this pack. They’re different from my Cascadia wolves and it was a lot of fun to write romantic suspense with a paranormal backdrop. I’d actually planned to write one of the other wolves first but when I wrote Rain, I knew her match would be Laurent. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

And to celebrate - I’m holding down the Cave on the 6th with oodles of excerpts and prizes all day tomorrow! I’ll cruise in at 10 am eastern/ 7 pacific and party until 5 eastern/2 pacific.

Right now I’ve got excerpts from:

Lauren Dane
Rowan West
Beth Kery
Taige Crenshaw
Cindy Gregory
Michelle Pillow
Ann Wesley Hardin
Anny Cook
Charlene Teglia
Heather Holland
NJ Walters
Katherine Kingston
Claire Thompson
Sierra Dafoe
TJ Michaels
Red Garnier

Fabulous list, no? I hope to see you all on the 6th!
