Ladyacct asks: Actually what I should have said was HOW MANY Petal, GA books have been planned??? On another note what have you been reading lately???
I don’t know at this point how many Petal books I’ll be writing. Next up is Beth’s book and I’d also like to write Anne’s HEA. Beyond that it’s going to depend on what ideas come to me! As to what I’m reading lately – finished Patricia Briggs’ Fair Game last week. INSANELY GOOD! Loved it. Aside from that, I’m doing a revision and have two deadlines coming up so I’m short of a lot of reading time until I finish up.
IP asks: When will you be giving us snippets of Tart and Laid Open?
I put up a snippet from TART at my facebook page yesterday and there’ll be more from both stories over my months of contests (Starts March 24 and ends June 6)
Christine asks: Who will be featured in the last two books in the Bound by Magic series. I think Gage is one but who is the other? Will there be any books in the De La Vega Series?
Book three, GOING UNDER is Gage and Molly’s book and book four TORN AND FRAYED is Toshio and Helena’s book – you’ll meet Helena in Chaos Burning and Toshio in Going Under.
I’m not sure about the de La Vega series at this point. There’s some big changes coming in Chaos Burning and then the last two Bound by Magick books as well. I don’t want to spoil it just yet, but at this point I’m trying to figure out some stuff between the series 🙂
Maryam asks: Any chance of a sequel to Goddess with a Blade?
Yes. I do want to do it but given my writing schedule this year and into next, it’s not going to happen until 2013 at the earliest. But I definitely want to get back to Rowan and send her to the Keep…
Karen asks: Before you start a book is it your decision how long the series will last? i.e Ascension and Fire and Rain??? I know there will be no further books in the series but is it fair to your millions of fans who love the first two that you decide people love it and now i’m gonna stop??? Most of your titles are HEA but it wasn’t the same with this very short series as there were so many interesting characters in the two books!!!
There are many things in an author’s career that readers don’t know about. Usually because the author believes those things are best left in private, as many business related decisions are best left. We don’t do them to disappoint readers or make people unhappy. My choice to discontinue the series wasn’t something I did easily. At this point, the series was finished years ago, like everything else I wrote at that publisher.
Two recent emails asked about the Witches Knot series – It was great fun writing the series and it had a good run, but I finished it up in 2007 so I won’t be revisiting it again. Still pleased to hear folks enjoy it so much though, so thanks!
