Hump Day Check In

Got CAPTIVATED off to my editor early this week. Each time I finish a book I’m always sort of surprised and pleased with myself, LOL – like, “wow, I totally did that” I was very happy with the result and I hope my editor is as well.

Working on Gibson’s book this week though I still have no title. I’m sort of prickly about titles, I really like to have one but I’ll write some more and start a list. I have a long running list I’ll refer back to as well. I’m just about to write the scene where he’ll meet Mia, the heroine. Wheee!

Speaking of titles, also on my to do list is a series title for the next contemporary erotic romances out with Berkley Heat. This one is set around a group of friends, Gilian’s friends you’ll met in NEVER ENOUGH. Each one is an artist in her own way – food, dance, metalwork, and tattooing (yes, that’s Raven’s story). Tart was going to lead off the series, but lately I’ve been toying with Mary’s story going first. This is one of those things I’ll decide this week or next, LOL, along with the series title.

Trying to love Falling Skies. Plot holes and uneven characterization makes that hard. I wish they had a plan of some sort and maybe now that they’ve got Ben back we can transition to something else. Also trying Outcasts on BBC America and as with many sci fi shows on BBCA, I find myself wondering just what these people are doing and why. What’s the plan? Why are these people doing what they’re doing. Do they just wander around a lot? Also, I frown at you BBCA for making it look like Jamie Bamber is in the show. He was in it for half the first episode, that does not count. I’m giving both shows a full season to decide, hopefully they’ll both even out.

Um, yeah, that’s about it. I’ve got words to write, laundry to do and gah, my floors need dealing with. GLAMOROUS!!!

Finishing a book must be like finishing a marathon: so proud to get to the end whether you win or lose; it’s accomplishing it! 😛
