The school year is winding down here. Had my 2nd grader’s music performance last week and mini-me had hers yesterday. I realized it would be my very last kindergarten musical performance (until grandchildren I suppose). It was all adorable and the music teacher did a great job.

For those who don’t know, we had a major virus issue her with our desktop computer. The main one where all my outlook files were for email. The virus, a particularly nasty one, has decimated everything and I don’t know if or when we’ll be able to reconstruct it all. SO – two things, first my husband brought me home an iMac to work on with less freaking out about viruses (which means I have to learn a whole new operating system and, to be totally truthful, I am not that in love with Mac at this point so I’m hoping I’ll say different in a month when I figure out all the tricks and shortcuts instead of taking eight steps to do what I did with two clicks on my PC).

The other thing is that my email and my calendar are inaccessible to me for anything older than last week. If you emailed me about something in the last month or so, you may have to email me again to get a response. Also, if I owe you a prize or a guest blog, please please let me know so I can get that taken care of. Without my master calendar I’m flying blind. Sorry!

In other news yesterday was the launch of Carina Press with some amazing authors and titles. They’re running a sale right now, 20% off all titles! Very good deal.

Yesterday I grabbed up Megan Hart’s Exit Light. An awesome book I was lucky enough to crit some years ago. I’m thrilled the book is now available!

Shannon Stacey’s Exclusively Yours. Shan is amazingly talented and I love her writing.

Carrie Lofty’s Song of Seduction one of my favorite of the new Carina covers, it’s gorgeous

Lots of great stuff for readers this year, no? Awesome.

Ok, kids are on the bus and I need to get some work done. Have a great Tuesday!

I have my little guys concert coming up. This will be his first. I am also considering getting a MAC for Victoria. The computer guru at college recommended it when we went there. She has a few friends who have one and seem happy but I am hoping it won’t be a problem learning a whole new system. Well good luck w/ your MAC and have a good day writing

When I got my iBook 4 years ago the first weeks were a bit hard but after that I started to love my Mac.
I never had any trouble with a virus in this time and my iBook is still working great.
My next computer will definitely be another Mac.

My kiddos have been out of school since 20 May. Completely insane in my book. The good thing though is that they go back 4 Aug.

I’ll have a 6th grader & 3rd grader. Little man refuses to go to school so I guess pre-school is out.

I hope you know that I was cursing you this morning. I was on the Samhain site and saw the coming soon page and your book Revelation. I have sooo much to catch up to do with my reading.

Thanks for the info Sabrina. She is definitely leaning toward the MAC. Everyone raves how it is resistant it is to viruses. Which is a good thing for us. There may be a learning curve on use but she has several friends she can tag for info if she gets stuck
