Gah, I’m so bad lately with updating. I can only blame, you know, my job, LOL!

I’m busily working on dirty/bad/wrong, my novella for the erotic romance anthology from Berkley Heat coming out next summer. In between I’m getting words down in Mesmerized, my next futuristic for Heat! This week I got my blurb for it and I’ll post it later on in the weekend.

Other things – the very wonderful Reba reminded me earlier this week that it is my FIVE YEAR anniversary of being published! I’d totally forgotten what with RT and the move and the general insanity of my life. It was truly lovely of her to remember and very nice of her to remind me.

Five years ago I had one book out. I’d written a second and had sold it and pretty much loved every minute of it. As it happens, I still love writing very much. So five years and thirty something books later (that’s sold, I’ve written far more than that, LOL) I’ve learned a lot. I’ve learned the highs of making lists and selling and the lows of rejection and waiting to hear back.

One constant is that I continue to think this is the coolest job on the entire planet. When I finish this novella I have a blog post in process about writing as a career and my own particular experience, but it’s a long one and I need to think on it more.

Thank you to readers, friends and loved ones who have supported me along the way. None of this would have happened without you.

Re-read After The Night yesterday. God, how I love that book. What a risky story it was, even for 1995. Phew. I also re-read Nora’s Carnal Innocence which is another old school personal favorite of mine. Hmm, southern boys and small towns – ringing my bell like it’s dinner time!

    What a 5 years!

My copies of After the Night, Shades of Twilight, and Dream Man are all falling apart. I read them at least once a year.
