2010

If you missed your chance to win this one before, here’s another crack at it! Today’s fabulous daily contest book is another in Anya Bast’s Elemental Witches series – WITCH HEART.

With the immense powers of an earth witch, Claire isn’t destined to be a demon’s handmaiden. Yet this has been her fate since she was six, when her warlock mother brought her to Eudae. Now as an adult, she’s about to discover her true power—and how far others are willing to go to take it away…

As part of a mission with the Coven, Adam Tyrell rescues Claire from her enslavement—and finds himself immediately taken with the beautiful witch. But this charming playboy soon learns that it’s easier to steal Claire from demons than win her heart, for her life as a servant has ravaged her spirit. But with Adam determined to protect her from the warlocks who want to harness her magick for evil, Claire’s resistance starts to give way—and they find themselves in the heat of danger, surrendering to the lure of their deepest desires…

DAILY QUESTION: How do you feel about series? Love em? Hate em? Any good recs?

    Good morning,

I love series. I love them in romances and I love them in mysteries. One of my all-time favorite series in romances was Nora Roberts’ Born series, they’re keepers.

Yes I like series. And of course I’d like to know how it’s going on between Erin, Todd and Ben although I am SO excited about Brody and Elise and their own story.
It is interesting to read a new book but beside get some stuff about the last happliy after ending couple from the last story.
My favorite is Jaci Burton’s “Riding Wild” series, all wild, all male and all hot…

I love series, because then characters can recur and you don’t have to just say good bye at the end of the book.

I love series but hate when I get sucked into one because that predetermines the next “however many” books I will be reading. BUT if I fall in love with a series then I just crave the continuation of the story line and the characters!

I love series when they are written well! I love revisiting characters and seeing how they are doing. Or revisiting the same world the author has continuously built upon and it just keeps getting better. Too many favorites to list, but from the top of my head Sherrilyn Kenyon, J. R. Ward, Kresley Cole, and Sarah McCarty write great keeper series!

I love book series. I love them because I can’t seem to let go of the characters I fall in love with so I absolutley love it when the authors bring them back over and over again.
JR Ward has my #1 love for the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

I love series where all the main characters are different from book to book, but are still related, like family or friends. Or short(2-4 books), if it’s one main character(s) followed to a HEA. I do not like long series that never settle he main character(s) personal lives. I stopped reading a couple of series years ago because of that. I got tired of the angst.
I do currently buy more books in series than stand alone, but thats financial more than anything else. If I can only get one or two books then one that goes with my current series will get priority.

I love series, but I also enjoy stand alone. I enjoy the series because you get to know the characters first hand, but on the other side, I get itchy waiting for the next one. I can say, it seems, the series are coming out faster than they use to.

I love series, and it seems like all my favorite authors have one or more series going on.
When the series feature the same character it’s hard waiting a year for each new book, and cliffhangers are the worst. I think it’s a little less frustrating when the series world is the same and each book features a new hero/heroine and has cameos by previous pairs.

Love series books, they are my written soap operas and so much better than Television…

Favorite book series are the ones written by Nora Roberts, she has out many trilogies and in a total of 3 books is a good way to wrap up the story line in most series..
2nd favorite right now which is still ongoing is the Magic or Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews, love Kate and all the gang…..

I absolutely love reading series. I go through books to quickly so I’m not usually happy with a single book. It’s sad to say goodbye to characters after just a day or two. I’m currently reading Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series and love it. Another favorite is Karen Marie Moning’s Fever series and Jennifer Rardin’s Jaz Parks series.

Series are awesome! The only that makes them hard is when there are more than 5, then you have to get the whole set and read from start to finish. But I still love them.
