Today’s book is Anya’s WITCH FIRE – an awesome start to her Elemental Witches series! Don’t forget to go over to Anya’s blog to check out which of my books she’s giving away today!

Mira Hoskins doesn’t know she’s a natural born witch who possesses the rare—and powerful—element of air. She also never expected to find herself tied to a mahogany bed frame, captive to a man who aches to fulfill her every desire and let loose the magick that dwells inside her…

Heat emanates from elemental fire witch Jack McAllister. The Coven, a governing authority of witches, has sent him to protect Mira from a band of warlocks who drain witches of power… and life. Long ago, he saw Mira’s parents murdered by this same dark magick. He’d like to quell his guilt and offer her everything she deserves. But she’s the long-lost cousin of his boss—making seduction off-limits.

With Jack’s strong guidance, Mira is luring forth her inner magick. But his sense of duty is quickly swelling into insatiable hunger. They warned him about the natural attraction between air and fire. Now he risks being consumed by the woman he shouldn’t want—but can’t stay away from …

DAILY QUESTION: This wasn’t showing up in the original so the first comments (22 and under) get a pass – everyone else please tell me one book you’d love to see made into a movie and who you think would be perfect in the lead roles!

okay LOL – I don’t want to see any of the books I like into a movie because then the movie would XXX and then I’d have to go to a porn shop to buy it and I just won’t go there. As for a leading man, I always prefer a beautiful unknown man to play the leads. I am not into following the Hollywood stars.

I would love to see a movie of Janet Evanovich’s books. ANd would like to see Sandra Bullock as Stephanie. Not sure about the others

Usually books that are turned into movies are awful! Having said that – I would have to say

    Charlaine Harris’s “Grave” series…

with: Hilary Swank as Harper Connelly and
Jim Sturgess (Across the Universe & 21) as Tolliver Lang.

I would love to see Lori Armstrong’s Blood Ties (1st book in her 4-book Julie Collins series) made into a movie if they didn’t screw it up! As for the leads, I’d say Christina Cox for Julie; Sam Worthington for Kevin; and Jon Huertas for Tony Martinez (if he shows up in the first book — I’m not sure).

@Sara : I agree that the Grave series could be great movie or HBO/Showtime series. That said, I think that Jim Sturgess would be great as Tolliver, but I wonder if Hillary Swank isn’t a little old for Harper. What would you think of Kristen Stewart? Disregarding the Twilight movies, I thought she was very good in Adventureland and has a quirky vibe that might work really well for Harper.

I can’t pick one because too many good books have been made into bad movies.

I would love to see Rachel Caine’s Morganville Vampires as a tv series. I can’t think of anybody for the roles, probably relative unknowns.
    Michael – Alex Pettyfer
    Claire – Rachel Hurd-Wood
    Shane – Drew Roy
    Eve – Morgan Thompson

I would like to see more vampire novels made into movies. I really do not watch many movies, so really do not know what actors to name.

I’d like to see the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by JR Ward Made into a group of movies. As for the lead(s) there are definitely too many possibilities to mention! One I can think of for sure would be Vin Diesle as Butch!

I would like to see Nora Robert’s Bride Quartet books made into movies (or made for tv movies). I’m not sure who I would like to see playing the roles – but definitely not older actresses/actors trying to act young!

I’d love to see Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater made into a movie. I’d pick Frederick Highmore in the role as Sam and Emily Browning as Grace.

Hmmmm….*mind flipping through tons of books that have been read over the years*….*finally snaps mental fingers* Got it! I would love to see one of Kerrelyn Sparks books made into a move! She writes with a sense of humor, and I love me some humor with my romance! I could totally see Gerard Butler and Keira Knightley playing the main roles!!

I prefer that my favourite books not be made into movies. I find that the people that portray the characters aren’t what I picture when I read the book. So I don’t watch the movies of books that I really enjoyed. Don’t want to be disappointed.

Definitely Ward’s BDB! The other posters are quite correct. As for actors/actresses you got to have a group of hotties/pretties…..Gerard Butler, Jensen Ackles, Vin Diesel, Nicole Kidman, Keira Knightley, Amy Adams. I don’t care who they’d pick, I’d just love to see it on the big screen.

I’d like to see Joanna Bourne’s books turned into movies. I can see Clive Owen as the hero for the first, and Bridget Monaghan as the heroine for the second.

I’m not too crazy about my favorite books being turned into movies. They rarely do the book justice.

I am not big on good series being turned into movies or tv shows because they almost are never as good as the book. But some series I would love to see on the big screen (or in tv shows) would be Kim Harrison’s The Hollows, Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld or Patricia Brigg’s Mercy Thomspon/Alpha Omega Series.

It’s really hard to see some of my favorite books turned into movies because so much gets cut in the process. But, to answer the question, I’ll go with Sandstorm by James Rollins. I think I’d like to Keira Knightley as the lead female and some unknowns as the male leads.

I would like to see Allison Brennan’s FBI series turned into movies. I think Christian Bale, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman could play the heroes and the heroines could be played by Scarlett Johanson, Natalie POrtman and Amy Adams.

Hard one.. I agree with quite a few of the posts.. I wouldn’t want a really hot book because they would cut up all the hot scenes, and anytime they have a shot of the guy naked its like 2 seconds.. I’d want time to enjoy it.. lol.. I can read pretty bloody stuff, but I don’t like to watch it.. weird I know.. so that knocks out alot of my favorite authors.. I’d love to see Janet Evanovich but I think that would have to be a cable series.. from the first book, I’ve seen Sandra Bullock in my mind.. still haven’t found a good Joe or Ranger yet.. they would have to be unknowns..

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I can’t thinkof anyone I would want to play Claire and Jamie…so I would have to go with some hot unknown actor to play Jamie and well…an unknown to play Claire too!
