Today’s book is part of Anya’s fabulous Elemental Witches series – WITCH FURY!

Sarafina Connell is having the worst week of her life. It takes an even darker turn when an infamous playboy kidnaps her and reveals a world she never knew existed….

It’s a world where magick is real, and where Sarafina is given a chance to join a secret cabal that is bent on gaining absolute power. They could use a woman like her—a witch with an untapped gift for creating fire. But she isn’t about to get in league with the devil.

Rescued from her captors, Sarafina is introduced to a coven that is duty-bound to fight the forces of darkness. She’s pleased that her savior is the imposingly seductive Theo—until the trust between them goes up in flames. However, as the war between good and evil is waged, Sarafina and Theo realize they have no choice but to unite in the battle for supremacy—that’s getting hotter by the minute.

QUESTION OF THE DAY: What was the first romance novel you ever read?

I’ll choose a winner via random.org and post it first thing tomorrow. WINNERS HAVE SEVEN DAYS TO CLAIM THEIR PRIZES!

It was a Sweet Dreams book (for teens, haha) but later on, my first adult romance was a Mills & Boon. Sorry, can’t remember the title! My friend lent it to me from her mother’s stash. But I remember my first Loveswept title – Stormy Vows by Iris Johansen.

Oh, wow. What a question. I still have a few books that I had in junior high. Gail’s Golden Filly and Lily of the Valley are the titles of the ones that had romantic elements to them. Both very tame compared to the stuff I like to read these days but I still keep them. I liked the stories enough that I still reread them occasionally.

Jude Deveraux was the first romance I ever read, not much on the oh la la scale, but I was fifteen at the time. I’ve come a long way since then.

I really can’t remember so many books since then, but I do remember moving on from YA books by Judy Blume to her adult titles like Wifey. That was one big jump and a major eye opener. I totally understand why some authors use pseudonyms to write different genres.

The Magic of You by, Johanna Lindsey is the first romance book I read. I was bored one day and sick so I picked up the book my sister left on the coffee table. I never really read before but since then I have been an avid reader.

The first romance book I read was the first three books in Johanna Lindssey’s Malory series. A friend gave them to me and I was hooked. I loved them. I have read them over and over. There are now nine books in the series and each one is as great as the first. Her dialouge is so funny. I laugh and cry with the characters. Def an author to check out.

I can’t remember what it was called but it was from the Sweet Dreams Romance series. It was about a girl who liked debating and ended up with her match.

My daughter was reading a book and laughing outloud at it. I remember making a joke about it and she told me that until I read one of her books and not laugh or talk back at it (she did regularly when they made her mad) then I was not allow to say anything. I agreed to read one book of her choice (til then I read only Horror) and when I started to chuckle while reading I NEVER heard the end of it. The book was Hearts Aflame by Johanna Lindsey (my daughters favorite author) and I was laughing my a** off when she spills peas, just like my daughter said I would. LOL I have been reading them since. Now she has me reading erotic romance, Dangerous Boys and their Toy by, Shayla Black.

Can’t remember which one, but it was a Harlequin romance. I was in the 5th or 6th grade, I guess that made me about 11 or 12. I was hooked on romance forever after.

Some harlequin no doubt (too long ago to remember, long before Tarnsmen of Gor and other questionable reads).

I don’t remember my first romance novel except it was a romantic suspense novel. Then I read Johanna Lindsey and Diana Palmer.

I don’t know if it was the first one I read, but the first one I remember reading was Diana Palmer’s The Patient Nurse. If it wasn’t that one, it was most definitely still a Silhouette.
