CURL UP WITH A BOOK…AND A NOOK CONTEST!!! (STICKY – NEW CONTENT BELOW)
Dec
21
2009

Thirteen chances to win books, plus a shot at winning your very own Nook eReader from Barnes and Noble!

Here are all the details so please read carefully!

Two contests:

1.) The main contest is for the Nook and it ends on January 5th. This post will remain sticky so people can enter until then.

2.) The Book-a-Day contests will be daily. On December 24th and 25th Anya and I are taking a contest break, but check back here because I may just do something special. Check back here and on Anya Bast’s blog (http://www.anyabast.com/blog/) to enter those. Scroll down past this sticky post for those.

BOTH CONTESTS START DECEMBER 21!

THIS STICKY WILL STAY AT THE TOP OF THE BLOG. NEW DAILY CONTENT WILL BE JUST BELOW.

HOW TO ENTER FOR A SHOT AT THE NOOK:

1. Copy the code (click on ‘share’) of the graphic above and post it to your blog. Add a link to my blog from your blog, saying something like, “Click here to enter Curl Up with a Book…and a Nook Contest”.

2. Publish your blog.

3. Come back here and reply to this post with a link to your blog entry and your answer to the following question: What new books are you looking forward to loading onto your Nook (should you win it) in the New Year?

If for whatever reason you’re technically challenged and can’t post the graphic, that’s okay. Just blog about the contest and provide a link to it. That’s a totally fine alternative.

What if you don’t have a blog?

Tell at least one other people about the contest who you think might want to enter. Post about it in a forum, on a loop, a friend via email, on MySpace, Facebook ect. Obviously, I can’t verify if you did it or not, so this is on the honor system. Once you’ve done that, reply to this post and tell me about it. Oh, and don’t forget to answer the question: What new books are you looking forward to loading onto your Nook (should you win it) in the New Year?

BOOK-A-DAY CONTESTS – more chances to win!

Be sure and check in every day from December 21st to January 5th. I will be giving away THIRTEEN books by ANYA BAST and she will be giving away THIRTEEN LAUREN DANE books over on her blog (http://www.anyabast.com/blog/). Check back every morning on this blog and also on Anya’s blog to enter for a chance to win that day’s book.

I’ll be using random.org to choose a winner each day at random. Check in the next day for the winner of the previous day’s book. WINNERS HAVE SEVEN DAYS TO CLAIM THEIR PRIZE and it’s the winner’s job to check back and see if they’ve won.

Rules, Regulations, Flotsam & Jetsam *

You must be at least 18 to enter! By entering this contest you’re saying that you are at least 18 years of age. Not all of the books that will be given away are erotic, but some of them REALLY are.

Yes, I welcome international entries! I figure if you can read me in Germany or wherever, I can mail your prize there.

Yes, you can enter for multiple days, even if you’ve won a prior day.

You must answer the posed question in your reply to be entered.

Other authors are totally eligible to enter. Authors are readers too, after all.

Lastly, this contest is VOID WHERE PROHIBTED.

My sister-in-laws emailed me about this contest. I enjoyed looking at your site. I have not read any of you books but a few of them looked real interesting. I emailed some of my friends in New Jersey…my sister-in-laws and I have mostly the same friends but I have a few that they don’t really know from before I moved.

I would put anything by Delilah Devlin, Leah Brooke, Maya Banks and Kresley Cole on my nook. Thanks for the contest.

I haven’t compiled my 2010 list yet; I usually do a “looking forward to” post in January but off the top of my head, I’m anticipating new titles from the usual suspects, including (but not limited to!):

    -JR Ward
    -Alyssa Day
    -Meljean Brook
    -Patricia Briggs
    -Kim Harrison
    -Ilona Andrews
    -Jenna Black
    -Christine Warren

Carolyn Crane will be my can’t-miss debut author; I love her blogging so much.

Of course, Bast and Dane go without saying! 😉

I don’t have a blog but I emailed my girlfriends who are big readers and a coworker who is just discovering digital books. We like Scrabble and try to play weekly over cocktails.

The books I look forward to putting on a NOOK would be the new Patricia Briggs, Kim Harrison, Ilona Andrews, Charlene Harris, Richelle Mead, Lauren Dane, Anya Bast, and and and! Plus my existing ebooks that are mostly pdf format. Which is why I need to get a reader instead of only my laptop for ebooks.

Happy New Year! and thanks for the opportunity to win!

Well, now that I have been turned on to your books by a friend, I’d love to get into what you have published. Hi Lauren, I posted about your blog on my site at Rhodes Review. If I were to win a Nook, I’m not sure I’d pick new books, unless something grabbed me. But I know I’d definitely load it with Lord of the Rings, and the Harry Potter series. I’ve read LOTR, but haven’t read any of Harry Potter. I’d also tend to use it as a place to put those books I want a copy of, but don’t necessarily need a physical copy of.
