CURL UP WITH A BOOK…AND A NOOK CONTEST!!! (STICKY – NEW CONTENT BELOW)
Dec
21
2009

Thirteen chances to win books, plus a shot at winning your very own Nook eReader from Barnes and Noble!

Here are all the details so please read carefully!

Two contests:

1.) The main contest is for the Nook and it ends on January 5th. This post will remain sticky so people can enter until then.

2.) The Book-a-Day contests will be daily. On December 24th and 25th Anya and I are taking a contest break, but check back here because I may just do something special. Check back here and on Anya Bast’s blog (http://www.anyabast.com/blog/) to enter those. Scroll down past this sticky post for those.

BOTH CONTESTS START DECEMBER 21!

THIS STICKY WILL STAY AT THE TOP OF THE BLOG. NEW DAILY CONTENT WILL BE JUST BELOW.

HOW TO ENTER FOR A SHOT AT THE NOOK:

1. Copy the code (click on ‘share’) of the graphic above and post it to your blog. Add a link to my blog from your blog, saying something like, “Click here to enter Curl Up with a Book…and a Nook Contest”.

2. Publish your blog.

3. Come back here and reply to this post with a link to your blog entry and your answer to the following question: What new books are you looking forward to loading onto your Nook (should you win it) in the New Year?

If for whatever reason you’re technically challenged and can’t post the graphic, that’s okay. Just blog about the contest and provide a link to it. That’s a totally fine alternative.

What if you don’t have a blog?

Tell at least one other people about the contest who you think might want to enter. Post about it in a forum, on a loop, a friend via email, on MySpace, Facebook ect. Obviously, I can’t verify if you did it or not, so this is on the honor system. Once you’ve done that, reply to this post and tell me about it. Oh, and don’t forget to answer the question: What new books are you looking forward to loading onto your Nook (should you win it) in the New Year?

BOOK-A-DAY CONTESTS – more chances to win!

Be sure and check in every day from December 21st to January 5th. I will be giving away THIRTEEN books by ANYA BAST and she will be giving away THIRTEEN LAUREN DANE books over on her blog (http://www.anyabast.com/blog/). Check back every morning on this blog and also on Anya’s blog to enter for a chance to win that day’s book.

I’ll be using random.org to choose a winner each day at random. Check in the next day for the winner of the previous day’s book. WINNERS HAVE SEVEN DAYS TO CLAIM THEIR PRIZE and it’s the winner’s job to check back and see if they’ve won.

Rules, Regulations, Flotsam & Jetsam *

You must be at least 18 to enter! By entering this contest you’re saying that you are at least 18 years of age. Not all of the books that will be given away are erotic, but some of them REALLY are.

Yes, I welcome international entries! I figure if you can read me in Germany or wherever, I can mail your prize there.

Yes, you can enter for multiple days, even if you’ve won a prior day.

You must answer the posed question in your reply to be entered.

Other authors are totally eligible to enter. Authors are readers too, after all.

Lastly, this contest is VOID WHERE PROHIBTED.

Hi Lauren, I posted on my FB page. You are on my f-list so feel free to check it out. lol

As for my reading choices for 2010…

Well anything you publish. I have already preordered Coming Undone on Amazon.ca so that will be my first 2010 purchase.

I am so looking forward to J. R. Ward’s Lover Mine in April. Literally spring cannot come fast enough.

Shayla Black has two Doomsday Brethern books coming out Fall 2010. Oh and Delicious which is coming out in March.

Maya Banks has Sweet Temptation coming out in April so that is a for sure purchase.

Also Janet Evanovich’s Sizzling Sixteen will be published in June. That is another 100% purchase.

    Thanks!

As for the books I am looking forward to, the ones on my calendar so far are more UF than PR…
Mage in Black by Jaye Wells
Battle of the Network Zombies by Mark Henry
    Dead Matter by Anton Strout
    Cat’s Claw by Amber Benson
    Unholy Ghosts by Stacia Kane

You get the idea. I am adding a few more PR as I am writing this though.

As far as books, the covers of the two books you’re advertising by you and Anya Bast actually peeked my interest. So they would be the first two. If I had to choose another it would probably be

    The Memory Keeper’s Daughter
    by Kim Edwards

    and

    Finger Lickin’ Fifteen
    by Janet Evanovich

I heard those two were pretty good.

Looking forward to the outcome. Great contest 🙂

The books I would like to read in the New Year are Anya Bast, Laura Dane, Christina Dodd, Sherrilynn Kenyon, Laurell Hamilton, Patricia Briggs, Chris Marie Green, Christine Feehan, and Kim Harrison. These are just a few authors. There are many more. I am just a voracious reader and just started reading this genre 10 months ago. Before I read sci-fi and fantasy. As a college student, I’m looking forward to loading any e-textbooks to the Nook, so I don’t have to carry around so many heavy textbooks!

In addition, anything by Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb, Lauren Dane, Lorelei James, Lora Leigh, and Hay Hooper’s new book, “Blood Ties”.
