Oops, I just spotted a typo (well, several, but one important factual one).

Ivanhoe was set in 1094, not 1194. And Immortal Warrior was indeed just 2 years later, in 1096.

I’m so glad everybody’s having such pleasant memories of some of these favorite shows. And it’s not bad finding out that maybe I’m not so old after all…

@azteclady — I’m sorry I misunderstood. I do like the idea of you getting sucked into the series. It really is going to be a lot of fun carrying Ari and Brand up through the centuries to the present as each of the others has his story.

Lisa, I remember a number of those shows, and I adore James Garner! I’ve loved him in about everthing he’s ever done!

TV and movies both have a huge influence on me as a writer, but I’m not sure I realized how much until I read your post. Thank you for the ah-ha!

Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane, Lisa. I watched all those westerns, loved Garner as Maverick. Peter Gunn was cool, Bat more sophisticated. Another favorite for me was Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates on Rawhide.

I don’t remember the tv series Maverick, but I did watch the movie Maverick. It had Mel Gibson and James Garner in it. Immortal Outlaw sounds great!

Wonderful walk down memory lane. I loved the first book and will get the new one Wednesday. My advice to my kids were The Best Movie Is In The MIND. It kept them reading.

@Fiona – I have pix of me in a red cowgirl outfit with white fringe. I remember going to both rodeos and go-cart races wearing that and my holster.

@azteclady – Boy, don’t we all understand the budget thing! But I do hope you’ll find room to squeak out $7.99 to give IMMORTAL OUTLAW a try. I think you’ll enjoy it, and it will entertain you for longer than a movie.
