RELENTLESSLY BIG CONTEST Day Fifteen!

2009

Today’s book is Ann Aguirre’s Blue Diablo! I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think Ann was the bee’s knees – she’s awesome and I count her among my dearest friends. But still, above and beyond that, she’s an amazing writer and Blue Diablo is the first in a new series she’s doing and it’s fabulous.

Blurb:

Right now, I’m a redhead. I’ve been blonde and brunette as the situation requires, though an unscheduled color change usually means relocating in the middle of the night. So far, I’m doing well here. Nobody knows what I’m running from. And I’d like to keep it that way…

Eighteen months ago, Corine Solomon crossed the border to Mexico City, fleeing her past, her lover, and her “gift”. Corine, a handler, can touch something and know its history—and sometimes, its future. Using her ability, she can find the missing—and that’s why people never stop trying to find her. People like her ex, Chance…

Chance, whose uncanny luck has led him to her doorstep, needs her help. Someone dear to them both has gone missing in Laredo, Texas, and the only hope of finding her is through Corine’s gift. But their search may prove dangerous as the trail leads them into a strange dark world of demons and sorcerers, ghosts and witchcraft, zombies—and black magic…

Today’s Question: If you could have any special magical gift, what would it be?

Winners will be announced tomorrow (April 30) at noon pacific! Winners have seven days to claim their prize, after that time, I’ll redraw for a new winner. Good luck!!

Mine would be pretty boring: either the ability to heal people (physically or psychically–whichever was most needed), or the ability to take myself anywhere on the planet in the blink of an eye.

I was going to say the gift of healing because my grandmother actually was a faith healer and I’ve been really fascinated by the subject, but Catie beat me to it so I will try to think of something else. Hhmm…I think it might be cool to astral project – so I could be in two places at once!

With only being able to chose one magical ability, I would have to say time travel. Being able to skip through time and experience each different period, would be fascinating. Have a great day.

I would have to say healing also especially as it would help the people I love the most.

I would want the ability to just think out my words and have them appear magically on screen. (laughs) Think how many more books you could write with that power!!! 😀

I have to go with teleportation. I just finished reading DRAGONS PREFER BLONDES by Candace Havens and love that the sisters can travel anywhere at anytime. Some days when the kids are driving me insane it would be great just to poof and be somewhere else.

It would be mind control. Bending men to my will… mmmm, the possibilities!

Please don’t enter me into this contest- but special magical gift?
Psychic ability. Or whatever lets me see into people’s heads. Remedies final in less than four hours. I might vomit.

I would love to be able to do magic like bewitched magic that would be wonderful. But if I had to choose one specific thing it would be teleporation too.

Teleportation….why? because I’m lazy. Hmmmm….maybe I should go for mind control then I could get people to different things for me. Do I have to pick just one?

Mine would be the magical gift to move things with my mind….. I would have a lovely clean house all the time without having to lift a finger and that would include myself so I could move myself to a lovely secluded beach with a bunch of hawt men!!! LOL

It is a tie between making things move with my mind and being able to heal someone.

Oooh Oohh! I almost forgot to see what the question was, I was so excited.

Telekinesis hands down. While having 8 arms would be handy, I couldn’t be in 8 different places to make them truly effective, so I’ll go with being able to things move with my mind. Then I can do 8 different things at once and not have to move from one location.
